I hope this starts a trend. Race car driving, football/baseball games, mom and pop stores.
It’s important to show the blue they have support and we’re not afraid to put our money where our mouth is.

I’ll be the first for you... Why the h*ll should these overpaid gov’t workers be given expensive gifts when the people that pay their salaries pay full price? They get excellent pay for what they do,, generally have tons of downtime while on the job (especially firefighters and paramedics) and most have guaranteed retirements paid for by you and me... Do you have that?

Geez, dude. Hopefully, you are kidding. Unlike most of us, these people walk out the door and literally put their lives on the line every day. And, they are currently being shot down in the streets, just for being cops.
Also, any private enterprise, such as Texas Motor Speedway, can thank police and first responders if they want to. And, with regard to their job benefits, I’m happy for them, not bitter.

I have supported the Law Officers in the USA for all of my life—and I am 76 yrs old.
I have also followed many kinds of racing since (I was 17.
I know a number of people who follow racing & even more that do not.
I am probably the most CONSERVATIVE person you could encounter.
I don’t for one single second believe that your ‘experiences’ are ‘fairly common’ among Conservatives.
There is nothing in your statement that rings true for me.

You grew up 25 years before me... times were different and cops are different... It’s also possible you grew up in a less urban area than me... that would change your attitude also.
