Donald Trump is expected to endorse House Speaker Paul Ryan R-Wis., Friday, two highly placed Republican sources tell Fox News -- just days after the Republican presidential nominee declined to back Ryan when asked in an interview.

Ryan will face primary challenger Paul Nehlen in next Tuesdays primary election for his congressional seat. Trump is expected to endorse the 2012 Republican vice presidential nominee at an event in Green Bay.
While Ryan picked up the endorsement of Trumps running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, Trump declined to endorse Ryan when asked in an interview Tuesday with The Washington Post.
I like Paul. I like Paul. But these are horrible times for our country. We need very strong leadership. We need very, very strong leadership. And Im just not quite there. Im not quite there yet, Trump said.

Trump endorsed Marco Rubio the other day so that explanation won't work.
Polls are showing Ryan up by 66 points so I waiting until election night isn't going to do anything.
He can advocate all he wants, but he needs the boss, Trump, to sign off on everything.
My heart agrees with all of the posters who say the endorsement is a mistake, but the media is doing everything to put us in a losing position...the move will produce a better plus than minus even though it’s BS. Just win baby and make the story go away.
Remember that Trump does not operate based on idealogy and will do whatever he thinks he needs to do to close a deal.
"Trump was forced to endorse" being a possible angle, or "The endorsement means nothing, the rift is still there." The press will run with what it wants to, independent of reality.
Trump should endorse whomever wins the primary. That’s the only correct answer.
If I wanted a vice president that supports TPP, and a candidate which endorses Ryan who supports Open Borders, TPP, Big Banks, and Muslim refugees, I would have supported Marco. If true I want my donations back,,,,
NOW Trump should go out and say all kind of good things about Ryan’s opponent and bad things about Ryan.
After all this is what Ryan did to Trump.
Donald has already made his point by using Ryan’s own quote of ambivalence to taunt him. Besides, poor Reince is tearing the rest of his hair out in impotent frustration, so Donald is now ready to Play Ball, at least on this. It may subdue some of Ryan’s backstabbing tendencies. Some of them.
Until Trump endorses Ryan, it’s just wishful thinking - propaganda/astroturf expressed by the increasingly desperate never-Trump RINO uniparty.
I’m going with your guess. I’m thinking Ryan is going to win huge.
“Why at this point? I guess hes afraid hell have egg on his face if Ryan wins over his no endorsement.”
I think it was a good move on Trump’s part. It showed that he is not playing favorites in the primary and he will endorse the winner of the Republican race. If he gets behind Nehlen and Ryan wins, Trump is screwed. If he gets behind Ryan and Nehlen wins, it shows Trump isn’t a conservative.
Staying impartial was the best play. He could have been a bit more tactful in his lack of endorsement.
Unfortunately, Trump cannot win this election by himself. He's got the entire media and the establishment of both parties against him. I suspect that even if Trump endorses these POS traitors like Ryan and McCain they'll continue rolling grenades into his tent after they are reelected.
I hate to be pessimistic, but with our entire federal gubbermint run by the O’muslim brotherhood and the repubicans playing for the other team, I don't see a good outcome here.
As ManBearPig once said, 'there's no controlling legal authority'. With no rule of law and no press to report any wrongdoings, the demoncrats have any and all means which to take down Trump.
At this level of corruption, the IRS will simply make up the fact that Trump cheated on his taxes. Game Over.
Yep....IRS will release fake tax returns in October. I have no doubt about it.
He’ll do it just after the primary.
Endorse rino on Wednesday, after he looses to Nehlen!
Neither the party nor the presidential nominee, a national position, should be endorsing one republican against another in a local race provided that both have no glaring disqualifications.
Nehlen is actually BETTER than Ryan.
NO!
Of course he’ll endorse.
On Wednesday morning.
Assuming Ryan is the candidate for the seat. Which is anyone’s guess.
