What About the Human Ransom Obama Paid Iran?

The Obama administration secretly organized an airlift of $400 million worth of cash to Iran that coincided with the January release of four Americans detained in Tehran, according to U.S. and European officials and congressional staff briefed on the operation afterward.

Why is nobody discussing the apparent human ransom that Obama paid? This human ransom cannot be explained away as part of the financial settlement of the legal case. Is this capitulation by Obama regarding human ransom new information or was it disclosed when it happened? Who were the 7 prisoners released, and who were the 14 for whom extradition requests were withdrawn? What have these 21 people done since the swap? If anybody can find any discussion of the human ransom, please post it.

Why it is not mentioned what were these money for?

I have a feeling this has to do with downing of the Iranian flight 655 back in 1988 (yes, 37 years ago) and if so this puts the entire situation in a different light. Downing passenger planes is not a good thing to do and the compensation to the Iranians should have been paid decades ago.
