Poorly worded. No one wants to get a Purple Heart.
[Poorly worded. No one wants to get a Purple Heart.]
Those who love AMERICA knows what TRUMP meant.
I do.
“Poorly worded. No one wants to get a Purple Heart”
Didn’t think of that. I think his reaction bordered on tacky.
Mostly, but not completely true. There's John Kerry, who apparently got a band-aid and a Purple Heart. He was in Vietnam, you know.
No, but all the media will talk about will be his five draft deferments and his comments about always wanting a Purple Heart.
“No one wants to get a Purple Heart.”
No joke. I’d be happy to trade my PH for non-scarred skin on my chest and back and forgetting what debridement felt like.
First of all, I don’t think he should have accepted it. I know it’s an incredible gesture and honor, but that man earned it, and I’d tell him he earned it. If he has children or a loved one, he can then pass it on when he dies. I can also understand the flip side that the man offered something incredibly precious to him, and he felt that it would be wrong to turn away this man’s gift. It’s just something that I wouldn’t be able to take because this man earned it and bled for it, and there can’t be a more precious object in the world to him.
Second of all, like you said, no one wants to get a Purple Heart. It means you got hurt in combat. It was definitely a poorly worded statement.
The media will of course play this up and use it to talk about his deferments. There is certainly no proof Trump illegally dodged Vietnam, but they sure as heck are looking as some articles on that have popped up recently.
Trump has got to be careful because this is about the worst I have ever seen media bias since the media fawning all over Obama in 2008.
Oh for crying out loud!
My Dad, 2d Marines, Pacific Theater, said the same thing.
