Trump on Muslim at DNC: I'd like to 'hear his wife say something'

Donald Trump responded to an appearance by a Muslim lawyer at the Democratic convention by saying he "would like to hear his wife say something."

One of the highlights of the Democratic convention in Philadelphia was a speech by Muslim lawyer Khizr Khan, who was accompanied by his wife Ghazala, about their son, a Marine who died in Iraq back in 2004. Khan at one point held up a pocket-sized version of the Constitution and asked if Trump ever read it.

"I'd liked to hear his wife say something," Trump said in an interview with New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd.

Trump elaborated on Khan's comments during an excerpt of an interview with George Stephanopoulos on ABC's This Week that will air Sunday.

With all due respect to the Khans who have suffered a terrible loss, it is a shame they let themselves be used in such a cynical manner by the 'rats - but of course self-righteous judgmentalism to rival that of the old-time Puritans is the specialty of the Democrat party....
Mr.Khan had better hold on to that copy of the Constitution - if his heroine Hillary gets elected and puts another lib justice on the Supreme Court the original will be shredded within a couple of years.......

As I mentioned in an earlier post, when lawyer Khizr Khan stood on his son’s grave at the DNC demanding to know if Mr. Trump had read the Constitution while proudly holding up his copy, I was hoping someone would ask him if he had ever read it as well since he was holding a copy of the Constitution that had NEVER been opened! The spine is undamaged, the cover is still glossy shiny, and the only wear and tear seems to be a folded corner from being in his pocket.
Think of the combined tactics of fake piety (Bill Clinton’s giant unopened Bible) with using tragedy to forward your political agenda (Paul Wellstone’s children turning his funeral into a political rally.

Good point. Trump has explained in the past, “First, I have to win the nomination”, i.e. I HAVE to go after my opponents! Now he’s got to win the Presidency and he HAS to relentlessly nail Clinton and all her demonic twits in order to get on with the JOB.

Donald Trump has sacrificed a lot by running for President—largely on his own dime—rather than making lots of money with his businesses and enjoying a lavish, semi-retired lifestyle. He also risks assassination even day.
