Being that it is the RNC, who’s to say it wouldn’t help Trump. I mean, the party hacks weren’t exactly enthusiastic to have a Trump ticket, any collusion could be similar to what happened against Sanders.

Reminds me of the Lewinsky scandal. Always a big build-up regarding voicemails and documents, and then when released it always came off as a big disappointment. And the Clinton camp was always ready with a response.

Assange spoke only of the RNC system, not Trump’s. He made no mention that I see of Trump’s. Remember, RNC wasn’t overly friendly to Trump until he had the nomination pretty well sewn up.
Well the RNC won’t be caught doing things to get Trump elected.

I wonder if he was hoping that what he’d released would be enough and that Bernie would get the nomination by default, and that’s why he did it now. Probably, he’s surprised that it’s had so little effect.

.... Information released during the most strategically placed time in which there will be no window for response could actually be devastating to anybody no matter who they are. Something as simple as a supportive handshake or a hug after a hurricane could actually lose an election. Just think of the damage a major scandal could do just before the election.
