My dishwasher and my washer are victims of the EPA and the DOE.
I need the dishwasher to let in more water to wash correctly
I need the washer to have a higher level in the tub, in order to meet guidelines
Those gas cans are crap. Bought a few small 2.5 gallon jerry cans on amazon.
Mine has a grinder in it but it is nothing like the old ones that essentially had a disposal in it.
I use cascade gel
The EPA approved portable 1 gal. gas tank stinks, When you use one, it leaks gas on you and the mower.
Low flow toilets also need to be cleaned more often. Thank you Demon Rats for giving me more of this hated job.
I got the Samsung instead of the Bosch which was otherwise slightly better because the Samsung came with a disposal instead of a filter.

Yes my kitchenaid has that, but it is nothing compared to the old systems . They look like fan blades
Kay Ludlow, I totally agree - it probably is that. Plus, sounds like EU rules to me. We put vinegar in our d/w to get the glass (a bit of) clean. Time to toss the whole bunch.
I thought I dropped a ring in the toilet so my plumber friend came out to look for it. He said wow your lines are clean. Apparently we have more water flow than is recommended/allowed? Shhhhh!! Lol
Our motorcycle friend said that Ethanol destroys the hoses and other stuff in bikes/ engines. He had just filled his tank and the hoses just dumped the whole bunch of gas + ethanol onto his driveway.
A TBSP of TSP? That is a tablespoon of Tri-Sodium Phosphate correct? I have plenty of that laying around as I am a house painter.
Two best buys we’ve made in 40 years. Mrs. RWA is thrilled. She thanks me on a regular basis for researching these machines.
1) Samsung front load washer/drier set, now 8-years-old.
(The washer replaced a new Kenmore that ripped clothes the first and only time we used it.) Samsung washer has silver strips that prevent moldy smell some people get. With HE detergent and VERY small amount of water it cleans better than ANY machine we have ever had. No clothing damage in 8 years. Very gentle on clothers. You DON’T need a lot of water with these. I was very skeptical but it’s true!
2) One-year-old Kitchenaid dishwasher ($800 on year-end closeout) stainless steel inside. Our old cheap GE got so totally clogged with white deposits that it couldn’t even pump water. It left food all over everything. Glasses got cloudy. Remedy?
Get a good machine. We use
(1) Cascade Platinum ActionPacs Dishwasher Detergent Fresh Scent;
(2)Cascade Rinse Aid Platinum Dishwasher Rinse Agent, Regular Scent; and once a month use
(3) Affresh W10282479 Dishwasher Cleaner.
DON’T use the old Cascade. Gotta get Platinum.
Yes, these cost more but not much per load. Take you choice - cheap detergents and the aggravation of a clogged machine and dirty dishes, or spend a 25-30 cents per load and get the cleanest glasses I’ve seen only if we do them by hand. Once left a little speck of peanut butter on a knife because it was pressed against a spoon and couldn’t get sprayed with water. Only time in a year!
Mine does. A Maytag I bought not even a year ago. they had 2 left. An LG and the Maytag. Guy told me they were the last ones in stock and he thought they were phasing them out. My last one lasted over 20 years. Sure hope this one does since I haven’t had to rinse dishes in 21 yrs.
my daughter has 1 of the new ones with the filters in them. She hates it.
French Provençal
Doesn’t seem to be it has cylinders and one cannot see where the water enters the tank.
The smell of the cars you are speaking of is from old style carburetors. The fuel injectors control the amount of fuel so it doesn’t get wasted in the exhaust. I hate newer cars, but fuel injection is great, along with disc brakes, steering gear and the suspension. Too bad the body styles are so frickin ugly, along with being too small.
I was keeping my old washer & dryer anyway, but reading this stuff about new models is depressing. Reminds me of how bad my low-flush toilet is.
LED lights contain the components to listen in and transmit voices in their vicinity. Essentially, they are spying devices just waiting for the time when “someone” wants to use them.....believe it or not......

With special drainer, Note old dishwasher rack from one of the many dead ones over the past 12 years.
