It is getting alarming that even so-called conservatives fawn over "gays" when they seemingly advocate for free-market economics or gun rights. Let's not get suckered in; the gay agenda is relentless and malicious, no matter what other supposed "correct positions" they claim to hold. The vast majority of the time, this is a lie - the left, which includes homosexual "rights" advocates, is extremely monolithic in its leftist belief system, and you're very unlikely to find any area of real departure from it. Most of my gay friends are not about pushing a social agenda. They just want to be left alone. This idea that all gays want the throw it in our faces is yet another lie by the left to divide us. We need to get away from the manufactured fights and stand together on the things we do agree on. There will never be a winning party that agrees 100% on everything because you limit the number of people you can attract. You have to take the wins you can get.

For instance on abortion, if we had been willing to compromise we could have gotten much stronger restrictions placed on it but people with an all or nothing attitude sunk that ship.

Agree. Thank you for posting because I, too, have been heavily troubled. Y this and the Milo thing.

Oh, yeah, I’ve been pummelled here for expressing doubt about Milo Yiannopolis.

So people that are actually trying to help defeat the fricking left should be rejected?

How about for every one of them you can round up some of these better Christians to get off their ass and pull their weight!

While you have a Milo putting himself out there taking the fight to these people, there are 1,000 “wholesome and biblical” folks just sitting on their butts, and shaking their fists at their screen while they pass bible quotes wondering if this is the “end times”.

If these people were doing their jobs, we would be in the position we are in now.

So to those Christians I say SUCK IT UP. You dont have the luxury of picking and choosing your allies after pissing away opportunities to keep these people out of office.

By Reagan’s standard we’re going under. It’s time for conservatives to reject the Marxist-invented myth of the “gay conservative” and get back to Biblical truth.

It is getting alarming that even so-called conservatives fawn over "gays" when they seemingly advocate for free-market economics or gun rights. Let's not get suckered in; the gay agenda is relentless and malicious, no matter what other supposed "correct positions" they claim to hold.

Amen!!! Conservatism is retreating on almost every front because every time the Left makes a "minority" of some group of perverts the "Right" wants to start appealing to them!

I can’t figure out these “New Wordl Order” types...

If they want the entire world to be united, then why not uinte them with a conseervative plateform. A platform that is not only surprisingly (to them) popular, but WORKS.

It would be great if the whole world worked as well.

Was a time, not too long ago, when people knew it was impolite to ask how much you made, where you went to church and what you did behind closed doors with another consulting adult.

Homosexuality and conservatism are diametrically opposed. There is no such thing as a homo conservative, just like there's no such thing as a catdog, hot-cold water, or a common sense liberal. Don't let them set the terms of the debate...if you hear someone calling someone a "gay" conservative, straighten them out on BOTH words!

Amen. I have been flabbergasted that that Milo guy, the latest sodomite "hero" for the right (not conservatives) is lauded and fawned over. This is the guy who is present at a a sodomite party which includes decorations consisting of pictures of naked, or almost naked, young (as in juvenile) boys. Is the right this desperate? What next, if a high-profile pedophile agrees with us on the Second Amendment and lower taxes, will we embrace him because hey, we need those pedophile votes too? Let the left have them!

I didn’t see Thiel as pushing a homosexual agenda at all. He clearly emphasized Americanism and derided issues like transgender bathrooms. This is not the first time that an open gay spoke at a convention and Thiel did not do it to showcase his homosexuality. I’ll never be proud of his lifestyle or support him because of it but I will stand with anyone who loves America enough to set aside their identity politics for love of country and that is why he received a standing ovation not because he was gay.

George W Bush may have used the ssm issue to help win elections but while he did that he was betraying us appointing activist lgbt republicans to high positions in his administration. Just look at the list of who signed on to support the illegal ruling forcing ssm on all 50 states. Getting bent out of shape over one gay who cares more about the welfare of this country than all the hate and adversity he is going to face for speaking in favor of Trump is foolish giving that we at via the Bushes a homosexual elevated to be RNC chairman.

But wasn’t Reagan divorced and remarried? And didn’t that make him an adulterer according to Jesus? This is not intended as a knock on Reagan, it just seems we can be a bit hypocritical on things.

Start a ‘All Sinners Out Of GOP’ group.

Homosexuals, fornicators, adulterers, liars, theives, all sinners, then there will be a pure party of zero!

Neither gays nor the gay agenda was being cheered at convention, they were cheering the all gays must vote Democrat bs.

It is a political party not a church....BTW churches are full of sinners too!

YOU ARE DEAD WRONG in these beliefs, our culture HAS CHANGED our FREEDOMS are being eroded, WE are being thrust into GOBALISM social justice where the weath of the nation is being brought DOWN to equal those of 3rd world nations my faith has become between me and my God!!! If someone IS gay that IS between them and their God!!! I will ALWAYS accept someone being gay if they BELIEVE in FREEDOM and are NOT trying to push their sexuality down my throat or businesses throats!!! Their are many gay people who just wish to live their lives in FREEDOM and what they do in their bedroom does NOT affect me in ANY way!!!

It is much easier to believe in a gay conservative than a gay Christian.

All the rights of man come from God, and our system of government is not sustainable with anything other than a Judeo-Christian ethos. Starting with that, there can be no actual right to sodomy- just one fabricated by man. Anyone pretending otherwise is a fool or a traitor.

Reagan wasn't Moses -- any more than Ted Cruz is. He was part Hollywood, part Dixon, Illinois and it's not easy to say which part would have predominated if he were still alive and conscious.

Nor are these issues so black-and-white as people want to make them. Someone could have gay friends and be accepting of them as Reagan was without favoring gay marriage, and someone could oppose gay marriage without heavily going into the whole "abomination" thing.

Reagan did oppose the Briggs initiative which would have cost teachers their jobs if they were found to be homosexual or to have advocated or encouraged homosexuality.

Reagan spent years in Hollywood, very likely many of his friends and co-workers were homosexuals. However, unlike Mr Lively, I don't have an unobstructed view into Reagan's thought processes.

It's a small tent.
