Hillary Clinton took the Democratic National Convention stage in a crisp, white and well-fitted pantsuit. Her perfect Florence Henderson hair was freshly cut, frosted, styled and feathered.

Her pearls sparkled.

She seemed happy. She sounded excited. She appeared hopeful. And that was all reflected in her clothes.

And most importantly, Hillary Rodham Clinton, the first woman nominated to vie for the position of America's commander in chief by a major political party, looked presidential.

Yes, the did. They even recited the pledge of allegiance. Of course, they had to put the words to the pledge on a big teleprompter facing the crowd so the audience could keep up.

Interesting side note: I expected some sort of controversy when they got to the "under God" part of the pledge, but so many people were reading it off the teleprompter that they had to stick to the script.

Well, I for one was impressed. And all the more because she wore white. And it underscored her deep commitment to national security. Especially the part where she said she would crush her enemies, drive them before her and hear the lamentations of their trans genders. Just kind of brought a tear to my eye. (sigh)
