Puts a smile on my face remembering how on rainy summer days I would sit next to my dad on the couch to watch the movies.
Not sure I understand??
Remember the series was on TV with Phillis Kirk and Peter Lawford I believe either in the late 50’s or early 60’s?
Just used my brain and I see it’s on our heading list above.
Well goodness, don't do that. Stepping into their echo chamber would scramble Superman's brain (liberals, having no brain, are immune).
TCM did a series of Ace Drummond, and is coming up on "Gaslight" - coincidental, as that is what Hillary and her fawning press are engaged in full time.
METV has a Sci-Fi Saturday thing, but it starts later in the evening. Hokey old stuff, Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Svenghouli does a movie, Lost in Space, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.
Good rest! When I need to do a movie marathon, it is completely relaxing. Love old movies from the 30s on a rainy day or when it’s too cold out to do anything else.
Might I suggest for your viewing pleasure:
1. Doris Day & Rock Hudson “Pillow Talk” or “Lover Come Back”
2. Charlie Chan at “Treasure Island” With Sidney Toler and Victor Sen Yung who later become Hop Sing on Bonanza
3. Hildegarde Withers “Murder on a Bridal Path”
4. Bob Hope and Paulett Goddard in “Ghost Breakers” or “The Cat and the Canary” both super funny and the chemistry between Goddard and Hope is wonderful.
Well NIKK there you have a day filled with joy and If that doesn’t do it for you, life is beyond repair. :) (LOL)
They were a Nick and Nora Charles pale copy. Stick with William Powell; he’s the absolute best!
You just stole my heart. Favorite line from a Nick and Nora Movie:
Nick: “Nora, I’m starved. Let’s go get something to drink.”
All the Thin Man movies are timeless classics. I have so many favorite Thin Mans but particularly enjoy Jimmy Stewart in “Another Thin Man.” He plays the bad guy in that one. Very good.

I just knew when this all started to come out that the DNC would somehow Blame this on Trump.
They are going to try to Watergate him.

Watergate?
They really are stuck in the sixties/seventies.
Thanks for the reminder to watch these classics, lysie!
Bookmarking your movie list, too, dear navymom1 :)

That’s who they are....Just look@ them.
Polyester pant-suit Queen.
Can’t get with modern tech....bet she wishes she was back when...
CAUTION-DEMOCRATS SPEAKING HERE:
Hillary is targeting the small towns. Trying to get the Independent Votes. She's 18 points behind. I believe they said Obama was around 5 to 7 down on Mitt Romney.
CANE is travelling the Sunbelt States. He is trying to win more of the WHITE WORKING MEN. Hillary isn't able to pick them up and she needs them.
They are mainly targeting THRREE States..

Democrats would be wise to remember that Reagan's '80 convention speech was doom & gloom and turned out to be very effective.

Oh how I agree with you. I just spoke with my son and told him I’m staying away from all news for a few days. It is so annoying to see the lack of journalistic integrity by any of the news sources, be it print, radio, or television. The old adage of “repeat a lie often enough people will start to believe it”...is alive and well.
Fortunately, there is a decent golf tournament on the television.... My husband will be happy watching that. Even with his dementia he knows Hillary is bad, bad, bad!
