There is nothing about this democrat candidate for Potus that makes me proud either. But the fact that a woman has been nominated for POTUS in a major party’s effort does make me feel good.
I didn’t say I would vote for her. I didn’t say I think she deserves it. I didn’t say I admire her. I have said that I think she is among the most corrupt people I’ve ever seen.
But I do have the ability to separate the fact that it’s a moment for me that I can have a proud feeling about. I have the ability to know this is a historical moment (for women) at the same time I know it’s a detriment.
Can you not get beyond your “gag” reflex to notice that there’s more than one opinion or reflection to take away from an experience? Can you not realize that this truly is an historical moment even though we both agree that the candidate is atrocious?
Why does being a woman make a difference? Perhaps if the woman was a decent human being I could see your point, but I think that this thing winning the nomination is a slap in the face to women, not something to be proud of.
Ditto negroes re butt boy barry.
Count on it.
Hillary is the first woman nominee for President of a major party. There have been other women nominees for President. This year Jill Stein will be the nominee of the Green Party.
The Dems love to emphasize the "historical" nature of Hillary's nomination in much the same way they did with Barack Obama. I guess we must elect Hillary and genuflect to this historical moment. Odd to hear an alleged Freeper spouting the Dem line.
Trump winning the GOP nomination for President, his first attempt at running for elective office, is also an historical moment. Some would call it revolutionary.
Uh, sorry...as a woman, I am truly ashamed that this lying un-indicted criminal who has bullied rape victims has been chosen to represent women.
It would be historic if it was bestowed on a woman who would bring honor to the office.
She wasn’t nominated by voters! She was placed there by the corrupt DNC! This is not some great accomplishment by a woman! And it’s not an historical moment for “women”! Get a grip!
Must be why I am a Conservative that doesn't believe in Identity Politics. You end with Morons like Obama when you buy into it. It is the Language of Leftist Demagogues.
It's unfortunate that anyone thinks Hillary and Historic belong in the same sentence.
At least Benedict Arnold was a Patriot before he went to the dark side. Hillary has been there her entire Life and half the Country buys her brand of Crap.
The Republic is doomed. That's Historic.
I’m woman and I don’t think its the least bit good...
only a sexist bigot would celebrate...
George Washington made history by being the first man to be president...
But that’s not why we remember him...
for a person who wants to rub out gender identification Hillary sure is lapping up the fact she happens to be a woman...
If its not suppose to matter and all sexs are equal why the “glory” ???
Hillary did not get there on her own...
a man helped her ...all the way...
her husband, other men, the current president...
she was on the shoulders of MEN...
oh dear this is an accomplishment by MEN, not a woman...
