7:46 p.m. A group of protesters burned an American flag at Broad and Pattison across from FDR park Thursday evening as the convention continued inside the nearby Wells Fargo Center. The demonstration was organized by Gregory “Joey” Johnson and Carl Dix, both of the Revolutionary Communist Party. Members of that same group were arrested when a brawl broke out during a flag burning at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland.
