The NeverTrumper’s Dirty Little Secret
American Spectator ^ | July 27, 2016, 11:47 am | F.H. BUCKLEY

I talked to a friend yesterday...he told me of one dinner party at which two of the most prominent NeverTrumpers confessed why they want Hillary to win. They know they’ll have no access to the Trump White House if he wins. Nor would they have any access to a Hillary White House. The difference, however, is that their donor base would desert them in the event of a Trump victory, whereas they can raise money from donors in the event of a Hillary win.

We had figured this out. We’re just surprised to hear them admit it.

After 38 years, the truth comes out. Flavor-Aid? I’m shocked!
Flavor-Aid, seems to be a generic imitation of Koolaid, and just doesn’t have the same ring or bounce from a storyteller’s point of view.

Both parties are still running on the same issues they have been running on for the last 1/2 century or longer. They just dust off the old speeches with old issues and maybe update them some.

Right now, the Dems are running against the same issues they were in 2008 and gloss over the fact that they have had one of theirs as prez for the last 2 terms.

Last week, the Pubbies were running on smaller government, fewer taxes, fewer regulations, etc. Just like they were in 2000 and 1984 and 1960.

It is almost like the presidency and Congress and the Supreme Court have become the biggest hoaxes played on the American public. Once they cross the Potomac, they seem to devolve into a group-think anti-American mass of self-interests.

Smart as they are, they haven't figured this out. (Too unthinkable for them to contemplate.)

The donor class (suckers) will always be there to open up spigots......

>>> Solving those problems would end the donations.

More importantly, end their career. What use do we have for them to hang around? They’d be inventing new problems to justify their continued presence.

Abortion was decided by the Supreme Court. They would need new justices on the SC or an amendment to be passed to change that. At least Republicans runs as pro-lifers, but on immigration their for immigration reform or amnesty.

The GOPe is the “right wing” of the government party.

As always, follow the money.

It doesn’t take a supreme court to end funding to Planned Parenthood.

Sorry, that dog don’t hunt.

Just refuse top pass a budget that finances any abortions or any entity that performs abortions.

Or, pass a federal law that such clinics must meet hospital standards at the very least.

Right now the R’s have the House and Congress, don’t tell me they can’t do anything, because that’s exactly what THEY say... “just give us a little more money and we can finally do something”, but when their feet are held to the fire they all cry “SCOTUS SCOTUS!”

If the SCOTUS is in charge of everything, then get rid of all the congress critters. Fire them all.

Didn’t they only start funding Planned Parenthood a few years ago? I am Trump supporter and conservative, but I don’t follow the abortion issue much.

On that I’m not sure, I’m not a policy wonk, I’m sure someone else here can answer that in full detail. Lot’s of policy folks on this forum. Now you have me curious as well.

Glenn Beck is a huge Never Trumper. His business is sliding downhill due to the loss of many of his followers. He figures 4 years of Hillary will be good for business.

“This is the same reason Republicans refuse do anything that conservatives care about, ie abortion, immigration, trade, terror, etc. Solving those problems would end the donations.”
