Recorded voicemails were added to the Wikileaks file collection for the DNC.
if the DNC used a VoIP (voice over IP) system, ALL of their conversations on the system are digital files and could be part of a hack. This wouldn't cover cell conversations, but would cover any phone calls taking place from the office.
HuffPo suggested a couple days ago this could be, "Bigger Than Watergate."
Indeed, it could.
If what we've seen already in emails comprises the type of communications typical of the DNC, might make for some entertaining listening.
Think of who might have called the DNC as well over the course of the one year they were hacked. Hillary, perhaps?
Does anyone with tech knowledge know if you can have digital file voicemails but not have a VoIP?

Have we seen any stories of the people who have been exposed to fraud, harassment, identify theft from all this? I did see one class action case has already been filed.

Further, most clients want their voicemail digitized and emailed to them, pretty standard.
I’m guessing: dummycrats hired the lowest bidder, affirmative action contractor or one of their buddies to setup their system. Obviously the integrator (for both email and voice) is incompetent.
They were probably forwarding the voice mails to their email account, which of course got pwned. lol

Virtually all telephonic audio is digital, not just VoIP.

You are 100% wrong! Unless TLS and SRTP encryption is used, all call signaling and media can be interceoted and, or recorded from the wire.
Any call, too and from the Voip system is easily recorded on the transport medium if SRTP and TLS encryption is not employed.
No, I am talking about remote access to the carrier’s VoIP telephony servers to get access to the communications.
It’s kind of surprising that the DNC didn’t claim the e-mails were fake...at first anyway.
Surely it’s easier to fake a text file than a voice mail.
They came up with “altered” two or three days in.
Then today Daily KOs said they are fake. So they got to the big lie a week later.
Would be fun if they gained access to DNC and donor credit
accounts and made really big donations to social justice
causes and other places libs love. Maybe even donate to
foreeign politicians like Angela Merkel or the Euro Green Parties.
Too slow on the uptake then....
