The people who run reddit are leftist ideologues. There are some very conservative subreddits, of which The_Donald is one.
This was my favorite answer. It’s self-explanatory:

I don’t know, but it’s amazing how many random people online are more expert at campaigning than this guy who has come quite far, and rather easily.
By that I mean he came into the race, quickly took the lead, and won going away against a boatload of mostly professional politicians. A boatload touted as the “strongest bench” ever.
