Used to watch movie reviews by Siskel and Ebert. Their take on things were interesting even if I didn’t always agree. When it came to Meryl Streep, they both raved about her to the point of idolization. It was astounding the respect they had for her.

When you’re a comedian and you’re on, you know it. It feeds you and sometimes it shows.

I get that when I watch Streep in her performances. It’s as if she knows everyone idolizes her, and it’s really annoying.

I have no idea how this all started, but I could care less if I ever see another of her performances, or even fail to hear her name.

I have never seen her in a role where I thought to myself, nobody else could have done this as well as she did.

Looked her up on IMDb, and had to go all the way back to late-70s ‘Kramer v Kramer’ and ‘Deer Hunter’ to remember seeing her in anything. Meh.
