AS HILLARY CLINTON puts together what she hopes will be a winning coalition in November, many progressives remain wary but she has the war hawks firmly behind her.
I would say all Republican foreign policy professionals are anti-Trump, leading neoconservative Robert Kagan told a group gathered around him, groupie-style, at a foreign policy professionals for Hillary fundraiser I attended last week. I would say that a majority of people in my circle will vote for Hillary.
As the co-founder of the neoconservative think tank Project for the New American Century, Kagan played a leading role in pushing for Americas unilateral invasion of Iraq and insisted for years afterward that it had turned out great.
Despite the catastrophic effects of that war, Kagan insisted at last weeks fundraiser that U.S. foreign policy over the last 25 years has been an extraordinary success.............

Trump is the Outmeister!
Making cockroaches scatter out of their dark places.
Her father is an attorney, Robert Kagan. Do not know if it is the same Robert Kagan.
OK. Just looked him up.Who would have ever described this yahoo as a neoConservative?? He is married to Victoria Nuland, former spokesperson at Obama’s State Dept. Big Media is outing themselves again as the Dem sycophants that they are.
Not neo-cons....pseudo-cons.
“Eliminate funding for the State Department” just went on the Trump agenda.
It’s a shame we had so many Freepers banned or self-exiled after exposing these @ssholes for exactly what they were more than ten years ago.
“Despite the catastrophic effects of that war, Kagan insisted at last weeks fundraiser that U.S. foreign policy over the last 25 years has been an extraordinary success.
The fools keep stepping forward and lining up.
That was my first thought.
Trump will fare better by not having Kagan's support--as must be evident from Kagan's praise for recent American foreign policy. The Neocons in the Bush Administration bear a considerable part of the blame for what almost destroyed the Republican Party.
No, but he is part of the Kagan Clan: Robert and his brother Fred Kagan. Robert's wife Victoria Nuland and Fred's wife Kimberly Kagan.
Victoria Nuland had worked VP Cheney and she was hired into the State Dept to oversee Libya and became best known for the Benghazi talking points memo. Later she was put in charge of Ukraine.
Kimberly Kagan had started the Institute for the Study of War. Elizabeth O'Bagy worked for Kim Kagan and was very influential in shifting opinion on intervening in Syria. O'Bagy escorted John McCain on his trip to Syria to meet with the "good rebels".
Behind the scenes, the Kagans are very influential on foreign policy.
The neocon label has been misused a lot. Definitely not a conservative bunch. They believe in Washington, DC and their own importance. Not much else.
Psuedo-cons, yes! I like that.
As the neocons head back to the democrat party it will be interesting to see the effect they have on it.
PNAC, CFR, wife works for Obama, now he endorses Hillary.
This guy is as low as human life can be,in fact he's subhuman vermin.
I like it.
But, as asked below.... Why?
What would ANY person who nominally is a “conservative” or who supports Israel in ANY way support a continued anti-Semitic, viciously Israel-hating State Dept and White House?
So, trump opposes greater expansion and support of Saudi Arabia.
Hillary is bought and paid for BY Saudi, Qatar, Russia and massive foreign oil Muslim/MidEastern money. She may not stay “bought” when somebody else offers more money, but she is bought now.
Is that a a part of their ever-so-fervent opposition to Trump?
That works for me. WTH is wrong with these people?!
The liberal democrats will have to stop calling them “war hawks” if they are on their side.
These guys put the “con” in “neo-con”.
Trump has helped us identify all the people who are more interested in preserving and protecting their institutions than in preserving and protecting our country and its citizens.
I mean, c'mon, there's maybe what, 5,000 of 'em in total at the outside ?
Who actually gives a flying rats ass who or what they vote for ? !
In the grand scheme of things, 5k votes aren't going to make any difference anywhere.
Yes, some have viewer/readership, but does anyone really think that there's any kind of decisive number of people who depend on any of those characters to decide their own vote ?
I know it won't change anything either out there or in here, but the amount of time and attention they get serves mainly to feed their already inflated egos AND divert thought and/or action from worthier duty.
These people expose themselves every day. Less concerned about American security and more concerned about perpetual war.
