I just knew PRO was gonna slip in and snatch it from my grasp. LOL
He must be distracted. Yay!
Seagrove Beach in Walton County, Florida.
I was born in Walton, County. Up in the Panhandle.
It was great but probably doesn’t measure very much. Still it’s 20 degrees cooler at 78 than it was at 2pm when I got home from work...so that makes a huge difference in my state of mind! LOL!
Glad you got a shower too. Gotta keep those soybeans happy!
I couldn’t answer the questions because the choices did not not connect with my sensibilities. For example, “Best thing to do on a hot summer night” did not include “mow the lawn then take a shower.”
That’s where I’m at.
A bit cooler today, 102, but I went out anyway and did my Dollar Tree shopping, (do you have these stores?). Laundry soap, toothpaste, light bulbs, misc. things like that.
I ate TWICE at Subway, the tomatoes are dee-licious!
Now just hanging out, kinda have my ear and eye on the DNC convention. Bill Clinton is lying....er, speaking now...*BARF*
How wuz your day? Any rain in the forecast to nourish the beans?
Epic Road Trip!
Like that’s fun??? LOL!
But it’s one of those things that’s gotta be done, right?
Must be. Can’t imagine him missing a chance like that. LOL! I had stuff to say and had to wait and wait. LOL!
Sure is pretty! Do you still live in FL?
I spent most of my life away but moved back a few years ago.
My family has been in Walton County since at least the 1700s.
Cooling things off is a good thing about those rain showers. Ours cooled things off for a few minutes, then the sun came back out and we found ourselves in a sauna. Still 81 outside now. Ugh!
A front is supposed to come through here Thurs. and Fri. and give us up to 4 inches of rain. We’ll take it! The dying trees around here and all the other vegetation would greatly appreciate it.
Wow...that’s quite a history you have in that place! Do you feel good about the move back?
I’ll bet your grands could tell some stories!
I was just glad our rain came just at sunset. That way it stays cooler at least till mid-to-late morning tomorrow. Maybe it’ll be good sleeping weather. I’d really love it to rain all night...but that would be a pipe dream around here. LOL!
You Should Spend Your Summer in the Mountains |
You need a summer vacation that gets you away from the crowds and the heat. So retreat to the mountains, where you can clear your head. |
Yeah, that sounds about right to me but they did not have the option of fishing in the Gulf on my boat.
My daughter, Son-in-Law and Grandchildren near Ft. Walton, Bch. Maybe 10 years ago.
Four Great Grandfathers all fought for the Confederacy.
You have a boat?? That’s very cool...but it’s pretty hot to be out in the gulf right now, huh?
OUCH! Doesn’t matter if it’s dry heat or not, 102 is NOT fun to get out in.
I saw 95 on the car thermometer when I was out this afternoon and our heat index was around 100.
Yes, we have Dollar Trees here. Great little stores. The years I was sending lots of care packages to troops overseas, I wore our Dollar Trees out. LOL
I’m not watching the convention at all but am keeping an eye on a couple of threads about it. Sounds a bit chaotic.
I went to vote this afternoon. Early voting for our congressional, state, and local primaries is going on. Stopped at the store to pick up a few items on the way home and that was all I could handle the heat.
Had a nice rain shower this evening that will tide the soybeans over for a couple of days. Good rain in the forecast for late in the week, with highs only in the 80s. YAY!!!!!
I have AAA on my bike, so I don’t even mind doing it alone.
When I am on the open sea.....what is heat? ;-)
When I am on the opens sea or for that matter, in inland waterways, I feel as if I am at home and the land is simply a place which I have to visit. ;-)
It would have been nice if our rain had come a little later. We had about 3 hours of daylight afterwards so it was pretty steamy. Still is. I broke out in a sweat while outside watching lightning.
I got lucky. Hubby was at the garage yakking with his cousin at the time and he came in not too long after I came in, gasping and cussing. Seems a skunk showed up not too far from where I was and so did a deer. They heard the deer snort and were overwhelmed by skunk stench.
SOOOOOOOOO glad that happened after I was inside!
