I wonder who and how much they got to get the Olympics in this city?
All aquatic Olympians will be quarantined following their events, hopefully. Brings new meaning to the term “water head” when I think of those stupid/ prideful enough to swim in Brazilian feces in a sham competition for a “gold” medal which is over 90% silver.
If the water gets any thicker the 10,000 meter swim will change to a foot race.
Our caution to flight crews was “go to the beach but don’t go in the water!” Rio was and still is an unsafe town, even in broad daylight. Many scams, and some just plain assaults, to relieve one of their property.
From our hotel, the Sheraton on the beach, we could see the raw sewage flowing into the ocean from a point just south of a very busy beach. Had an F/A murdered in his room during a layover. Long, sad story.
Olympic marathon swimmers? I thought all of the swimming events were in indoor pools? What swimming event is in the open waters?
Turd-in-mouth disease.
On the bright side, Brazil is free from the surly bonds of the EPA.
Turd world country...
100,000 a day should do it.
