But nowadays, the “well off” women can get all kinds of body sculpting procedures (surgical), so they don’t have such a need for the customized undergarments.
There’s not much (safe) surgery that can really fix you below the rib cage the way that old-fashioned foundation garments could.
(Of course, if you had too much to stuff-and-cinch, you risked fainting frequently ;-)
