Full title: Bishop Tobin: Tim Kaines Abortion, Gay Views Clearly Contrary to Catholic Teaching and Pope Francis
Although some analysts describe Hillary Clintons vice presidential pick, Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.), as a devout, Pope Francis Catholic, whose faith is central to his work, Bishop Thomas J. Tobin said Kaines pro-choice position on abortion and support for gay marriage and women priests are views clearly contrary to well-established Catholic teachings.
Bishop Tobin, head of the diocese of Providence, R.I., added that Kaines positions on those issues are also opposed by Pope Francis.

Thanks to the bishop for at least articulating some Christian moral values — it has to help some -—
I wish the Catholic Church in this country would remind the Catholics that they are doing something extremely wrong by voting for anybody who favors abortion and homosexuality in all forms. It needs to be said by all the bishops and priests all across the country.
How can anybody say they are Catholic and then vote democrat? The two things are not compatible.
There was a Catholic priest in Congress back in the 70s (from Massachuttes, of course) who said he "personally" thought abortion was "infanticide" but he would vote 100% abortion because he "couldn't use the government to force his views on women") The Pope at the time (probably John Paul II?) eventually forced the marxist "priest" to resign by issuing a decree saying all active Catholic priests were prohibited from serving in secular government offices.
Anyway, glad to see the bishop of Rhode Island has some balls. Still, its the same situation when DICK Durbin was denied communion in Springfield for being pro-abortion. It would have been FAR more effective if his OWN bishop (Cardinal George at that time) had ordered him to be banned from communion. Ditto with Kaine... the bishop of Richmond, VA needs to grow a pair.
Interesting comment I made on FB but never got an answer too... how come protestant officials never discuss the possibility of withholding communion from pro-abortion members? It should be a lot easier for them to make that decision if its "only a symbol". (of course in Hillary's case, I believe she's a Methodist, and its unlikely we'd find a hardcore pro-life Methodist bishop that would argue pro-abortion Methodists shouldn't receive communion)
OMG YES!! I personally think murder for convenience is just fine but I don't think it's good policy for the state to sanction that, so I'll have to vote to protect the right to life. Brilliant.
"Kaines religion is Socialism"
Another money observation. Star Trek pretty much presets human libtardism as a fanatical religion.
The Jesuit priest that voted 100% pro-abortion in Congress (and was replaced by Barney Frank when Pope John Paul the Great ordered priests not to serve in secular elective office) was Robert Drinan.
