Hillary won’t be forced out. It is too late. The dem voters would be so confused they would stay home. The Bernie voters hate the DNC. The Hillary voters would also hate the DNC for robbing them of voting for Hillary.
This would be a total debacle for the dems.
Rats have been known to gnaw off a leg to escape
a trap...
I believe we would see a war between the Clinton clan and the other clans like no one has ever seen before. It would make the cold war look tame.
It’s a very interesting question. My feeling is that Clinton is sooo disliked that almost any replacement would be a net positive for the other team. Just how much of a game changer would depend on who they put in her place. If it were Sanders, I hate to say it, but I think we would be in trouble.
Hillary is in for the duration. Hopefully that duration doesn’t extend past January 2017.
If they slipped Biden in, he would be coronated by the Left.
:-)
I thought that might happen before the convention.
But it’s too late now. Bernie and Fauxahontas have sullied themselves in the eyes of the base by latching on to Hildebeast and supporting her.
There are more emails to be released.
Without knowing just how bad these are, it is impossible to predict.
I however can see a point Hillary drops out of the race.
The Democrats may want to cut their loses and “forfeit” this election.
Putting Sanders in there would alienate the Clinton supporters, however, they would be more likely to cast their vote for Sanders. Unlike Sanders supporters who are much less likely to cast their vote for Hillary.
I would think that removing Hillary could do nothing but improve the Democrats chances.
It could very well be that ELIZABETH WARREN could be appointed during the convention.
If Hillary is forced out (for “health reasons”, of course), it would have to be Kaine as her replacement. Or maybe - thinking outside of the box - Michelle Obama. No way would the corrupt Dem establishment consider Sanders or Warren.
Those last two just might upset the establishment apple cart. There’s too much money involved to risk that.
Neither Clinton in a position of power?
Sweet!
I still think Bernie would suffer a massive loss.
Some of Hillary’s folks would stay home. The independents aren’t going to flock to him more than her IMO.
Trump is the flavor of this election.
He thinks in America First overtones. With as many people out of work, he’s sure to retain traction. Add in his border and immigration policies, and he’s hard to beat. His recognition of Islamic Extremist Terrorism is a move in the right direction. Someone at some point is going to have to admit Islam and Christianity cannot co-exist in the same nation. Trump comes the closest to that, to date.
Go Trump.
Can’t happen, but they could always bring Biden out of cold storage and use him. He’ll protect Obama’s secrets as vigorously as Hillary will. This is vital to the party.
Excellent question, and the democrats have a history of doing this.
I predict an illness to Bill or Hillary, a gut wrenching emotion filled hospital room scene with the baton being passed to either Bernie or more likely, Biden, urging him from the hospital bed to win one for the Clintons and the Country...
the drama...
the emotion...
the free press...
later then, a near dead Hillary or Bill will have a wonderful recovery...a miracle in fact.
Just my thought that I have had for the last six months.
It will happen 30 days prior to the election, maybe 45 days prior.
My understanding is that there would be very little time to get a candidate on all fifty state ballots in the remaining time. They would need to make this call within a day or so. Also, if they chose someone who was not already voted on in a primary it would be seen badly by the faithful.
Legalistically, I think they would have to go with Bernie. But, he is widely seen as a guaranteed loss. I’m sure the powers that be in the DNC would prefer Biden/Lieawatha or some other insiders.
The Democrats are in a bad position regardless. Hillary is unlikable and Bernie is too commie. The other potentials won’t digest well with the grass roots.
I think they would go with Hillary regardless of what happens.
Down ticket, if the top person generates no steam and enthusiasm, the down-ticket races will be a disaster for them. Democrats come out to vote for president, not down ticket candidates.
So, if Republicans sweep the races and still change nothing, then four years from now they will lose big-time. I am looking for the biggest Republican win in a century or more.
Hillary won’t give up the nomination. She has come too far to stop now.
Hillary won’t be forced out. The Clintons have too much dirt on people in power to be forced out. In other words, if Hillary goes so do a much of other people too. That’s one of the reasons that she wasn’t indicted for her unsecured e-mail servers.
To late for a Torch Torricelli. If Hillary was force to leave the race, whatever the reason Obama would have to “delay” the election so it would be “fair”.
Let’s hope Assange releases more meat soon. Ironic how they are now carping that the Russians are meddling with our elections after Hillary and Bill taking so much foreign money and selling America as “favors”....
