The events unfolded in predictable fashion: a young Iranian Muslim opened fire at a shopping mall in Munich while screaming “Allahu akbar,” and initial mainstream media reports were that the gunman was a “right-wing extremist,” lashing out on the fifth anniversary of the Norwegian madman Anders Breivik’s massacre, while screaming out his hatred for foreigners.
As it happened, it was someone else screaming his hatred for foreigners at the jihad murderer, not the other way around, but once again, the lie had gotten halfway around the world before the truth had a chance to put on its shoes.
And the same old comedy, the familiar one that plays out every week now in modern, multicultural Europe and North America, duly played out again, to an increasingly bored and indifferent crowd. Munich police chief Hubertus Andrae informed the world that the young jihadi had no known links to jihad terror groups, and added: “The motive or explanation for this crime is completely unclear.”

Also, even on our mainstream news programme in Aust, it was mentioned that reports of the incident are contradictory, and that someone who photographed the man on the roof “swears” that the shooting at the McDonalds was going on even seconds before. How would he have time to go up to the roof?

Good points. I tend to believe the rather badly shaken up woman with the kids. She was very clear in two different interviews about what happened and I can’t think of why she would make up a story like that...on the other hand, Merkel doesn’t want this to be what it obviously is. Who knows if we will ever know the whole truth?

INFO LE FIGARO — An urgent legal requisition was sent to the urban supervision center of Nice on Wednesday, July 20. The Paris prosecutor expresses a desire to “avoid the uncontrolled dissemination of these images.”
Panic and incomprehension in the office of mayor of Nice. On Wednesday at 11am the Anti-Terrorism Sub-Directorate (SDAT) sent agents who manage video surveillance of the city a requisition citing Articles 53 and L706-24 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and Article R642-1 of the Penal Code, asking them for a “complete” erasure of 24 hours of images from six cameras named and numbered, but also of all the scenes from the beginning of the attack that took place on the Promenade des Anglais, on the night of July 14.
The state agents of the urban supervision center of Nice are stunned. “This is the first time we have been asked to destroy evidence,” says a source close to the investigation. “The CCTV center and the city of Nice could be prosecuted for this, and also the officers in charge of the device don’t have jurisdiction to engage in such operations.”
We do not know that giving a destruction order while we are in full backup is not going to affect the whole system,” the investigators say with concern.
Contacted by Le Figaro, the Paris prosecutor’s office confirmed the information and said: “This was done in this case to prevent the uncontrolled and unchecked dissemination of these images.” The national police remind that “out of the thousand cameras in Nice, 140 had elements relevant to the investigation. The police recovered 100% of them.
