Ted Cruz humiliated himself last night and has virtually no defenders left (other than his alleged mistress Amanda Carpenter who wrote a Pro-Cruz article that Cruz retweeted.)
Take a look at what some of Ted Cruzs own supporters posted on HIS Facebook page after he committed political suicide like a childish sore loser.

Cruz is now worse than untrustworthy. Instead, he is toxic. No amount of Cruz’s skills, which I no longer believe are of any value, can compensate for that massive liability.
Hey Ted, you are haTED.
when tedlum released that stinker of a speech, he was out of odor, er, order. :)
Cruz is still valuable in the Senate.Yea, to Obama for TPP and the Iran nuclear deal to name a few.
Lets focus on getting Trump into the WH and we can worry about Cruz after the fact. With Trump as President and the Trump hating Cruz in the Senate, we'll probably have to worry about Cruz "after the fact".
He's a POS, fraud to the core and can never again be trusted (in fact never could).
CRUZ IS A LUSH AS WELL AS A CHEATING SPOUSE??? Didn't know that...WOW!!!
So smiling when nervous is yet another trait that Cruz and homobama have in common.
Quite possible, especially if the RNC/Texas GOP feel that Perry can beat Cruz in the primary AND go on to win the general election in 2018 against any RAT candidate.
Also depends if Trump wins in November. If he does, then look for Cruz to face sanctions from McConnell/RNC - including being stripped of seniority and committee assignments, plus told he will NOT receive any funds from the party for his 2018 re-election campaign. McConnell has the power to do this and I'm sure a President-Elect Trump would demand McConnell do this.
How can a duplicitous globalist like Ted Cruz be anything but a quisling in the Senate?
It is the sad rigidity and large, self righteous ego that would not serve us well if he was President. Trump has a large ego but is not so circumspect that he focuses ONLY and exclusively on himself and his family.
There is nothing wrong with Cruz feeling the way he does. Yet. The right thing to do would not have been to speak. And as I said he LOBBIED to speak at the convention.
I fault myself for not spotting it earlier.
And of course this more recent and direct piece of evidence was available well over a year ago also.
Cruz has a profitable career ahead as a slip’n’fall lawyer and ambulance chaser.
Your click bait doesn’t go anywhere
Not according to Richard Viguerie of Conservative HQ who was a VA PNC Convention Delegate and a solid Cruz supporter. His critique is worth the read:

Me too and it has been a process for most of us. Here is a great article by Richard Viguerie who was a VA RNC delegate and who is a well known conservative commentator and who has come to the same conclusion:
Ted Cruz Committed Political Suicide On National TV
Richard A. Viguerie, CHQ Chairman | 7/21/2016
The much anticipated speech Ted Cruz delivered to the Republican National Convention last night was a soaring anthem to liberty that lacked but one thing to make it, and Ted Cruz, great; an endorsement of the Trump Pence ticket.
Failing to endorse the Trump Pence ticket last night was not good for Ted Cruz, conservatives, Republicans, and America.
And most importantly for those of us who endorsed Ted Cruz and worked for him in the Republican primaries, he betrayed the trust we gave him that he was a bigger man than his attackers and that there was a cause greater than self in the hard-fought battles of the Republican primaries.
And I think it was this sense that Ted Cruz did not live up to his own rhetoric that stung his former supporters and emboldened his detractors the most, because in his speech he laid out this case for forgiveness and greatness of heart that he then refused to embrace in his own life and political career:
Our party was founded to defeat slavery. Abraham Lincoln, the first Republican president, signed the Emancipation Proclamation.
We passed the Civil Rights Act, and fought to eliminate Jim Crow laws.
Those were fights for freedom, and so is this.
Sergeant Michael Smith stood up to protect our freedom.
So do our soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines fighting radical Islamic terrorism.
So did the family of Alton Sterling, who bravely called to end the violence.
So did the families of those murdered at the Charleston Emanuel AME church, who forgave that hateful, bigoted murderer.
And so can we.
We deserve leaders who stand for principle. Unite us all behind shared values. Cast aside anger for love. That is the standard we should expect, from everybody.
And right there is where Senator Cruz should have said, And that is why I plan to be home in Texas on Election Day to vote for the Republican ticket, from President and Vice President at the top, to state and local offices at the bottom.
Yes, Ted, in an election where the future of our country and constitutional liberty are on the line we do expect that from everybody including you.
Instead of embracing the Biblical principles of forgiveness and love in the face of hate Cruz engaged in a bit of too clever by half word play to say:
And to those listening, please, don’t stay home in November. Stand, and speak, and vote your conscience, vote for candidates up and down the ticket who you trust to defend our freedom and to be faithful to the Constitution.
And everyone in the room and the millions of viewers at home immediately understood Senator Cruz was giving the #NeverTrump cabal, and those inclined to act on a false sense of righteousness, a dog whistle of permission to not vote for Donald Trump and Mike Pence.
That was a hole not even Newt Gingrich could dig Cruz out of, as mightily as he tried.
The reaction to Cruzs speech that came in to me and to CHQ was white hot, quick and devastating to Cruzs personal and political future. Here are just a few of the comments from prominent conservatives who are attending the Republican National Convention with me and from other individuals who attended a private meeting before which Senator Cruz spoke just a few days ago:
1. Im ashamed that I voted for Ted Cruz in the Massachusetts Republican Primary.
2. I thought Ted Cruz was a man of integrity. Tonight he proved — beyond a shadow of a doubt — that he isnt. He made a solemn pledge to support the Republican nominee. And he broke that crucial promise.
3. I thought Ted Cruz was a patriot. Tonight, he proved he isnt. However bitter and angry he is at Donald Trump, he knows that Trump is the only person standing between Hillary Clinton (a liar, a fraud, a thief and a traitor) and the presidency. And yet after meticulously laying out the case against another 4 to 8 years of leftist tyranny — he refused to endorse the one man who can put an end to our long national nightmare.
4. Cruz wasnt driven by principle, but by ego. He cant accept the fact that the party chose Trump over him.
5. Ted Cruz made the worst mistake of his political career. Millions of us will never forget or forgive his betrayal. He will never be his partys nominee for president. He will never hold the highest office in the land.
6. Pence crushed Cruz. Newt crushed Cruz. Ted Cruz looks like a sore loser. He does not look Reaganesque at all.
7. Ted Cruz is a very small man.
After failing to endorse the Trump Pence ticket last night, in the eyes of most conservatives with whom I spoke, Ted Cruz became just another self-centered politician who walked back on a promise, failed to live up to his own Biblical standards and, when the battle raged the fiercest, put his own petty hurts before the future of his country and the conservative cause.
I still like the Ted Cruz I thought I knew the devoted family man, the loving father and husband, the talented lawyer, speaker, rhetorician and constitutional scholar.
But last night Ted Cruz pleased the 5% of #NeverTrump Republicans and disappointed and angered the vast majority in the conservative movement. In doing so Ted Cruz lost his chance to be the leader of the conservative movement, and effectively handed that mantle over to Mike Pence, in whom conservatives are now likely to invest their time, energy, resources and hopes to advance the conservative agenda.
He’d likely be disbarred for withholding evidence on his first case. His dishonesty knows no bounds.
The convention, with Cruz's self-involved speech that seemed more like a coup attempt than anything else was just such a moment for Cruz supporters who still hadn't seen that something. I can only conclude that those who are still supporting Cruz don't care. They're part of his scheme.
“Cruz fools a lot of people initially, with his rhetoric and lofty ideals. But, after awhile, one by one, folks see through it.”
You are so right and it was a process of about 4 months for me. I will never support him for anything ever again.
I just did some quick research. Messianic complex is, indeed, a recognized psychological disorder. The description sounds a lot like Cruz.
