Networks On Trump: A "Dark Speech" From A "Vengeful" "Demagogue"
News Busters ^ | July 22, 2016 | Scott Whitlock

Posted on 07/22/2016 7:08:06 AM PDT by Biggirl

The three networks on Thursday night immediately derided Donald Trump’s “dark speech” as one coming from a “vengeful” “demagogue.” On NBC, Tom Brokaw allowed that “some” will see Trump as on a “white horse who will lead them to some kind of sanctuary and then pull the drawbridge up.” But he sneered, “Others looking in are going to see someone they will only think as a demagogue of some kind.”

I expect Hillary will invoke Cthulhu in her speech with her supporters chanting “Iä! Iä! Cthulhu fhtagn!”

They are using that talking point/narrative to contrast the Hillary’s Lightness and Hope message which will focus on reforming the police nationwide into a BLM-friendly departments, while giving more opportunites to reform the US mil into a represenative slice of the US population with LBGTs reflecting their strong majority as it does in real life ... /s

The media is more 'pravdaesque' than the Pravda of the old Soviet Union.

Isn't it interesting how the Media is in 'lock-step' and calling Trump's speech 'dark' even before there was time to analyze and digest it.

Reminds me of the 'gravitas' crap back in 2000.

Lucky for Trump...and the rest of us, the elites in the MSM haven’t figured out yet that they cannot undermine him the way they undermine other Republicans. Hopefully they will be too stupid to figure it out until it’s too late.

Trump talks directly to the American people, using straightforward and truthful language people understand and appreciate. He doesn’t care what the media says about him (as long as they are talking about him). He only wants to get through to the people that matter...the voters.

Trump did a brilliant job of marginalizing the press in the primaries so they will have much less influence in the general election that they normally would. He’s forcing them to push the envelope further and further in criticizing him to have any effect, thereby revealing their own bias to more and more people, thus losing more and more credibility and influence.

The man is a master tactician who certainly knows how to play the game.

By the way, I thought the “I am your voice!” line in last night’s speech was one of the best lines in any political speech I’ve heard and I think it will resonate very well with a lot of people.

Look. We know conservatives have a hard time with the media. Even Trump says they have been unfair, while at the same time Cruz was complaining of all the positive Trump coverage that help sink his campaign. So which was it. Was Trump treated unfairly or was Cruz hampered by the positive Trump coverage? Depending on which camp you more closely identify will largely guide your answer. It's mostly perception.

Coverage this week on Cruz's speech was that he made an error in judgement. And that to a degree Trump played him like a fiddle. Cruz people will complain of negative coverage against their guy and that Trump was propped up as a genius. Trump people will say the media is trashing Trump.

What Brokaw said is exactly how a lot of people will perceive this. And that's what he said.

We tend to get in this unless news anchors are falling all over our guys with gushy comments, then it's designed to take them down mentality. We really need to get past that.

And next week will be all rainbows and unicorns and snowflakes and unicorns that poop rainbows and we are all so progressive and love what Obama has done, so let’s do some more of it!

Yes, liberals demagogue every issue to death, and paint a “dark” picture of anything they don’t like, so to hear all this whining about “dark” and “demagogue” is really funny.

Since this "dark" all match.....let me tell you what I saw....

Just as when this country was started, there were so many jobs to be done and once again, we have to look at the docket. It's what we have been taught....look to the past....to build the future.

Our country is not "dark", it just needs the curtain to be opened to let the light in.

Our country was built on morality and wisdom and optimism. That's where our success lay back then and will lie in the future.

Yes, my toilet stopped up the other day. Must have been overloaded with “solids”. So, I applied the plunger. The getting of the plunger was motivated out of revenge, and because of the likely color of the blockage, I probably had racist thoughts based upon my white privilege.

So I dropped the plunger into the toilet bowl and gave it a couple of good shoves. Perhaps it was a microagression, perhaps it was something more sinister. I thought about calling in external help but decided against it.

And then my toilet started working. I paused, addressed my white privilege and then began to realize it was really *ass* privilege, and achieved nirvana shortly thereafter.

With demagogue’s in Turkey, Iran, China, Russia, Saudi Arabia and assorted backwater countries, America needs a strong leader. The girly men of the media are quaking in their boots.

The speech and the candidate delivering it is out there for anyone to view it. It was Trump's announcement speech that he was running for President that I watched on YouTube which helped garner my support. I couldn't detect the racism and bigotry that incited the media to try to "boycot" everything Trump and flush him before he even got started.

Like last night, the "machine" was rigged and ready before Trump even gave his speech to announce his candidacy and the media engaged in total unity of effort as if "Blue Horseshoe loves Anacott Steel" had been muttered.

When demands for apology and appeals for boycotts went unanswered, I sensed something big was happening for the country regarding political correctness. The calls for submission failed and resulted in what he saw and heard last night.

Things are different today now and the media pointing the "racist, hate, bigotry" finger only begs for people to look and see the speech for themselves. I think they have and will like what they see and hear.

By the way, some of the biggest critics are the "nevertrumpers". They have become a case study of how prejudice completely filters events. If you want to talk about dark, depressed, and pessimistic voices, just do a few pages or words of them for a whiff.

yeah, the hack from the local NBC affiliate who was went to the convention was also pushing the “dark” line. almost all of their coverage was negative.

but to brighten things up she went to the Rock and Roll “Hall of Fame” and showed us bill clintoon’s saxophone.

Surely they will say the same about Hellery’s speech next week. HAHA

Chris Mathews and other liberals will have tingles and swoon over Hillary’s speech. I don’t know what she will say, but, it doesn’t matter. They will swoon over her, compare her speech to Trump’s and declare that Hillary’s speech was much better. The commentary is already written.

Glad these idiots are telling me what to think.

I saw it myself. I heard it myself. And like the old African-American woman on the NRA commercial, I know my rights. I have the right to think for myself and they cannot shape my opinion and tell me how to vote.

Trump knocked it out of the park last night. Final scorecard is filled-in in November. Sure hope Americans can judge Trumo for themselves and not be lemmings of a liberal media.

Trump is freedom's last chance.

This reaction is quite similar to the media reaction to Trump's "They're ALL Rapists" (misquote) in Jun 2015.

They know he has struck a cord with the American people. They know there's resonance. They know he's peeling off pieces of THEIR constituency.

But all they can do is huff and puff about darkness and racism. It's all they have.

Because all the factual data, from increases in violent crime to unbridled increases in illegal immigration, dope, terrorism, killed cops...all of it is something no other Republican would cite and all of it was accurate.

They never thought they would have to deal with the truth, on penalty of the RACISM charge.

They are trying to make Americans ashamed for believing what any rational person believes.

And they are terrified.

abccbsnbccnnlatnyt continue to lose audience. The more audience they lose, the shriller they get. Plus, their collective credibility continues to tank, even among democrats.

Their facts are few and far between, and most view them as the propaganda arm of the DNC.

Their organizations performance has been weighed, and found lacking.
