CLEVELAND In the end, it was all about Ted Cruz. Delivering an unvetted speech before the Republican National Convention on Wednesday night, Ted Cruz as is always his custom carefully calculated just how to do it so it would benefit himself the most. And it backfired.

I guess that is called "The Art of the Deal".
People ask why Trump let him do that, knowing in advance. The simple answer is that Trump just inoculated himself against the so-called “thin skin” snide remarks.
He let ted blather on for 3x his allotted time, then just walked in and stood there as Cruz spewed. Trump didn’t react—just stood there and if you could read his mind, might have been something like, “Is that the best you got, Ted?”
Next time someone says The Man Donald has thin skin, just point to this event.
Brilliant!!!
Cruz figured no one would care if he didn’t endorse Trump.
He was surprised to discover people actually cared.
And that’s when it all went downhill for him.
“Ted Cruz as is always his custom carefully calculated just how to do it so it would benefit himself the most.”
I got to thinking today about the question of who really benefited from Ted’s shameful performance last night.
It wasn’t Ted. It wasn’t Trump. It wasn’t the Republican party. It wasn’t the voters, nor the country as a whole. It can even be concluded that his narcissistic rant did nothing to help the establishment. So who gained from that desperate act of division?
Do I really have to say it?
When I first heard anything about Cruz, I thought he was a good guy and a principled conservative. I loved his standing up to the establishment Republicans. However, the first time I saw him and heard him speak, he immediately jumped to a 9 on the Weasel Scale. Everything about Cruz is phony, from the way he scrunches up his eyebrows in fake sincerity to the way he tells tear-jerking stories one after the other. He gives me the creeps.
Your right it was vetted. He said all the right things, congratulated Trump, cannot elect Hillary, ...etc. He was sandbagged by Trump. Gingrich read his speech and tried to clarify. It was clearly a Trump hit cause Cruz didn’t bend over and kiss his a$$ like Christie and others. Trump and his supporters demand submission.
Trump for President.
Hillary and Soros have so very much money to share with “friends”. Even a nice ride on AF1 with Obama as a treat.
You should ask Jim if the mods can change your name. Your name is going to be a heavy burden in the future...due to no fault of your own.
LOL u r so silly
I really don’t think it was Ted’s plan for him to be booed off the stage.
He thought he would be cheered for sticking to “his principles”.
There once was a scumbag senator named Cruz,
whose father befriended Oswald for some sick use;
The globalist bastard swore and made a pledge
but like ObamaTRADE and his wedding vow, he did hedge,
The egotistical oily liar thought he’d nothing to lose.
Did ya ever see Cruz, circa college age video, of him standing in front of a camera saying he would be leader of the world someday?
Ya can’t make this stuff up.
Knowing what someone is going to say merely means you know ahead of time they are going to screw you
No, please, I don't want to read, hear or see the name.
FMCDH(BITS)
I don’t think Trump planned that Cruz would be booed off the stage.
I think Trump offered him the spot, then it was simply too late to take it away, even though he had read the speech.
Cruz must have woke up this morning thinking he would smell victory.
Wrong. If anybody watched his breakfast with the Texas delegation
this morning, he was defensive and irritated after many in his own
Texas delegation pounded and confronted his Lyin a$$.
