Ted is attempting to defend himself to mixed applause.
“Must Stop Clinton”
Cruz is standing on how to win this election, helping keep Trump’s feet to the fire.
Right or wrong I don’t like it. Cruz should have stood with Trump.
“Must stop Clinton”
“Trump shares responsibility for evidently not seeking any accommodation.”
Trump didn’t attack freak Heidi, even though he should have since Cruz attacked Melania first. Why should he “seek accommodation”?
He is extremely jealous of Pence IMO Pence is everything TC wants to be.
He is successful— both as a congressman and governor
He is a great family man with three outstanding children
He has a wonderful marriage
He is popular even with the opposition
Last night was as much as an attack against Pence as Trump. Pence is now the logical next torchbearer of the party. NOT TC
“Trump could have extended an olive branch but didnt.”
Trump invited Cruz to speak in prime time at HIS party. If that isn’t extending an olive branch, I don’t know what is.
I agree—from Dad to Ted to wife, it is a demented and deluded family.
Pence is Cruz without any negatives. I really like Pence a lot. The choice reflects very favorably on Trump’s judgment.
He said he had every intention of keeping the pledge. Abdicated when it became personal. I guess he forgot to tell the voters that.
BS. Ted Cruz had no problem “making it personal” smearing Trump supporters PERSONALLY on more than one occasion. No other candidate did such a thing.
Ego shmego, Ted Cruz is owned by the oligarchy and pretending to be something he cannot genuinely be. He is a man of deception at his heart. And now is proving himself to be an enemy of my America. At least Judas got thirty pieces of silver for his treachery. Teddy will get nothing but air time from the most vile people in America and then be discarded as the fool he has shown himself to be. Heidi better file papers soon or she will be swept into the same sewer Ted is walloping.
“Now Cruz will spend the next 4 months attacking Trump and the media will give him all the air time he wants.”
In a strange universe, this may be a positive. Trump needs a landslide to overcome voter fraud and will need many voters who otherwise would NEVER vote for a Republican. Having Cruz denigrate Trump will make it much easier for these people to vote for a Republican Trump.
In addition, more of Cruz’s supporters saw the “light” last night and it wasn’t Cruz.
I dont get if “hurt feelings” means so much to him, then what the hell was he going to do when the left REALLY got personal if he was the nominee?
The only thing Ted Cruz weeps for is Ted Cruz
ping a ling
After his antics last night, Cruz makes Boehner look like a genius!
He said he had every intention of keeping the pledge. Abdicated when it became personal. I guess he forgot to tell the voters that.
Has Cruz ever “owned up” to smearing 14 million Trump supporters as “low info”? No. Has Cruz ever “owned up” to sending Papi Cruz out to smear Trump’s religious beliefs to Evangical groups. No. Etc.
Loser Ted Cruz gave as good as he got. Period. To campaign now for the Butcher of Benghazi is unpatriotic and treasonous. Americans will die if Hillary gets into the WH. And Rafael Edward Cruz cares not one bit. How pathetic is that?
“The best compromise Cruz could give at this time”
Wrong. His pride is more important than America’s future, in his eyes. (et tu?)
I agree
That is the reason CRUZ felt the need to ruin his night at the convention.
He could have easily used the selection of Pence as an excuse to back the ticket. Instead he saw the crown for future presidential candidate being placed on Pence’s head. It was just too much.
Especially when a PAC that supported Cruz attacked Trumps wife first. Cruzs response was I didnt personally attack your wife Donald. The correct response should have been, I personally denounce the attack leveled against Melania.
Cruz’s name was plastered all over that ad. And he did not disavow it until days later when he thought it politically advantageous.
“I wish someone would ask him why he reneged on his pledge to endorse the republican nominee.”
I wish one of his current supporters could explain why going back on your word after confirming you would NOT go back on your word is considered ‘principled.’
Cruz lectures about politicians that say one thing on the campaign trail and go to DC and do another thing.
Well Cruz has said TWO different things during this campaign. Throughout this process he has been and remains a huge hypocrite.
Also, if he objects to someone demeaning his wife (which never actually happened), then how does he justify his affairs? A man can’t demean his wife much worse than that.
