Rich Perry was very good this morning supporting Trump, said so what if he was insulted, that American’s future is what is at stake.
I thought some of the same last night.
In his speech to the Texas delegates, he had points of why he would not endorse Trump. For one, he told Donald he would not so Trump knew. Second, he would not endorse Trump for the terrible things he said about his wife and dad. That got a few eyes rolling from the TX. group. So, he asked them, would they endorse someone who publically shamed their wife and dad? Cruz can take it and converse with those opposing his views but it is not right for a man who is running for the highest office in the land to slander family and then not apologize publically for doing so. I agree. And, he states it right. We do not know what Donald Trump will side with on several issues that could continue the tearing up of this country. I believe he can build us up financially, but we also need to be built up with character (which Ted has) and uphold the Constitution and our freedoms and liberties that have dwindled so fast in this century and we’re not fighting government as a whole to restore them!!!
Now, I don’t have TV but did watch Eric Trump’s speech. Loved it and have hope his dad will bring this country back from the abyss edge we have half a foot into!!! We have to wake up.
Cruz will vote, but not for Hillary. Newt was right, he said what Cruz said was correct and said why. We should own this country and tell government what to do not the other way around! I will vote, Trump was not my first two choices, but I will vote for him and hope he defends and brings back freedoms and liberties that will keep us safe and make our future brighter.
Too many people on FR are flying off the handle about Cruz just as the media has. He’s not perfect, but he wants a better country and would make an awesome Chief Justice. As I have said before, meet him in person and you’ll change your mind about him. You’d want him as a friend or neighbor if you have a heart of flesh and not stone.
Cruz’ recent trip on Air Force One is now making sense.
I wonder what his 30 pieces of silver look like.

Cruz told Trump in a phone conversation two days ago that he would not endorse
him during his speech, according to Cruz aide Jason Johnson.
Still, Trump’s campaign invited Cruz to speak — in a headliner role, no less.

My guess is that he abdicated this pledge when he realized he wasn’t going to win.

He’s done...toast, no, burnt toast. If the folks in Texas had an ounce of common sense and dignity....they force Ted Cruz to resign today. End of story!!! Cruz committed political suicide. I did. Sununu had the most succinct, accurate summation I’ve ever heard. Almost left Trish speechless. Lou Dobbs just about lost it, then he heartily agreed it was the best assessment he’d heard. I was eating dinner and almost choked, I was laughing so hard. It was classic!
A Hispanic delegate from Texas said the same thing to Cruz this AM , this is NOT ABOUT you, or Heidi, or your father this IS ABOUT the Unted States of America !!!!!! Cruz is POND SCUM!!!!

Probably was promised a ‘position’ within a Clinton administration that he undoubtedly thought would allow him to stay relevant and launch a future campaign from. He would be the great principled ‘uniter’ who ‘voted his conscience’. On the other hand, there may be something much more nefarious involved.
