Morning
Expecting much from DJT Tonight.
Morning!
Note to self: Schedule vacation day for first Wednesday this November. Convention week is killing me...so sleepy.
Anybody catch this?
Remarks Fran Tarkenton Former NFL Quarterback, Media Personality, and Businessman
If Trump is the winner, we can celebrate.
If Hillary is the winner, we can stock up on survival supplies.
I didn’t see the entire thing last night so I might need your thoughts. Actually, I was reading them last night, and you were spot on.
1. I thought Laura Ingraham was very good. During the whole speech I wondered why she didn’t come out in support of Trump from the beginning. Showed me that she doesn’t have the courage I thought she did, because in her heart you could tell she has always been for him.
2. Rubio. What was that all about? Like Tinker Bell we hear his voice, rambling on. TOtal nonsense. Did he at any point endorse Trump?
3. Cruz. Starts off with a very warm welcome given to him. And throughout the beginning the speech is getting great response. He’s building towards the end, and then it becomes clear that he’s done the bait and switch. Baits the audience to think he’s going to endorse Trump, then switches and doesn’t.
The snarkiest politician of all. He thinks all he needs is 51% Trump is going to 80% AND beyond. Look for Trump to bring everyone back in. I think he’ll be gracious and make Kasich, Bush and Cruz look like the children they are.
Has anyone heard anything more about this? On Fox they were tearing it apart what Cruz did.
4. Newt gets better and better. He comes out and ends Cruz’ speech for him.
5. Pence. Gracious and humble man. Talks about our flamboyant successful charismatic leader, and they picked him to balance the ticket. hahahahaha.
Question...
How many here think that many of the speakers are a hint and a trial run for cabinet positions? Aka, Cristie AG, Rudy Homeland, Flynn GCofS, etc etc.
But last night may I dare say one more, and many of us have been suggesting it for over a year and that is Laura Ingraham as Press Secretary
I re-watched it this morning via YouTube.
Oh my..., can't you just see her beeotch slapping anyone who gets out of line if she was behind the podium at the WH.
The video here for those that didn't see it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2lSOx2R5cU
Good Morning!
Can we please have ONE night without controversy or some technical malfunction!!! this is looking terrible!!
Pretty well sums it up
If you choose any speeches to watch
Pence and Laura’ s.
Eric’s was good but not as powerful as his brothers.
Morning thought: when Trump chose Pence it was the last straw for Cruise !
Pence is successful. Better liked and practices his faith. He is probable right of Cruz. TC could see his followers slip away being not just satisfied with Pence but supporting the ticket including Ttump. What we witnessed was a desperate man trying to save himself
Like it.
Make first Wednesday in November Trump day!
Good Morning!
Pence on F & F
Mentioning Cruz?
Good morning, Nikos!
What a night last night.
Well, Trump pegged Lyin’ Ted all those months ago.
Trump knows people.
Gave Cruz a moment to shine, even to set up for the future.
If Cruz endorsed, Trump looks magnamimous.
If Cruz did not endorse, Cruz commits political suicide.
Either way, Trump would win.
Lyin’ Ted did not disappoint—he could not say four words for the good of the Party and the good of the country:
I endorse Donald Trump!
HA! Trump knew he couldn’t do it, and gave Lyin’ Ted the rope to hang himself.
After today, Ted will be old news.
He’ll serve two more years in the Senate and not get re-elected. His perfidy will not be forgotten.
Anyway, Pence is live on Fox and Friends right now!
Trump will knock it out of the park tonight!
So far we have 8,948 replies on the live convention threads this week. We will easily have 10,000+ by the time Trump accepts the nomination tonight.
Having watched political conventions since 1972, this was definitely the most fast-paced one I’ve seen with prime time speakers popping out of the wings in rapid fire succession, one after th other. Have also not seen a convention where so many family members of the nominee have gotten up to speak. What an all-star crew the Trump children are. You have to wonder how Ivana and Marla are taking this (with Melania getting the spotlight). At least they are not causing Donald any grief.
