You're imagining things, wildly assuming that I know or don't know certain things, or think certain things that are just things that you've made up. "(I) imagine that everyone back then was 'holy'?" Of course not. I've imagined no such thing, nor the other things you erroneously claim that I have.
Do you think, too, you're the only one who knows about the personal lives of Jefferson, Franklin, etc?
And then, you argue about tangential things that aren't even relevant to what talking about, and that I'm not arguing with you about.
And your lack of acknowledgement of certain things doesn't make them any less true. Like somehow because people couldn't text Jefferson, somehow public opinion and the lives and beliefs of the ordinary people didn't matter and didn't figure into the form of this nation's government.
To go back to religious freedom, it existed to some extent in other colonies before the Revolution:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_of_religion_in_the_United_States#Colonial_precedents
And once again, considering all the different Christian denominations in the colonies, and their history of often coming into conflict, how was the decision to protect them all by not establishing one as the state religion not just a common sense decision and the path of least resistance?

Oh precious....I'm stating FACTS; NOT prostheyltizing, nor even professing my personal views; unlike YOU.
A "GOOD" Christian wouldn't behave as you do.
Because you say you're stating facts it's so? No, that is all opinion right there. You've mentioned a few things that are facts or that might be more or less or true, but for the most part they're completely irrelevant, and you've offered more opinion, conjecture, and personal attacks than anything else.
And as I said, and you haven't responded to, this site has as its goal the promotion of Christian faith in the political realm and the country in general.
What people believe about God directs their lives.
All that would be more than enough reason for you to just be upfront about your beliefs and what worldview you're advocating for, but on top of it, you've personally attacked me and my faith again and again here.
I will also add, I've campaigned for Donald Trump and against Hillary Clinton, and have continued to do so. Yet I am certainly an evangelical Christian with concerns about the GOP and also his campaign.
As long as I have those concerns, based on my faith, I'm not going to stop expressing them when and if I truly believe that I should.
I find it very curious, though, that some people would attack someone who has been a Trump supporter and isn't "never Trump." There are many evangelical Christians, including leaders, who have publicly said that they won't support Trump, and I haven't agreed with them.
I don't know why, then, some people want to attack Christians for expressing their concerns. How does that show evangelical Christians that Trump and the GOP truly take their concerns seriously?

Yes, I did write it so far as that goes. But what’s being expressed isn’t my own message or observation, but just what the Bible teaches.
As for what you say about me having a chip on my shoulder, that’s simply not true.

This series with the Cubs is the WS for the Sox, bragging rights, all that’s left.
They should crunch Robin Ventura into a steamer trunk and mail him to Timbuktu.

Steep price for a rental closer, those bats could have been used for starting pitching in the off-season.
All in, if they win it all, no one will complain.
Yankees fans are loving it, they expect to re-sign Chapman too.
I don’t know man, I don’t know. What say you?

that is exactly what I did two or three times to make sure I wasn’t making a mistake.
