I agree with you about this being the best convention ever. Do you recall all the talk before hand about it was going to be so bad because Apple and others dropped out of sponsoring! They were wrong!

In other words, the Constitution restricted the FEDERAL Gov’t, not the States, in the matter of religion.

I have several Democrat's in my family who are voting Trump. Not all were on his Train but they have said, they'll never vote for Hillary.
I also say Bernie supporters will stay home too. They aren't going to be happy at all with the choice of Kaine.
Where we're giving credit for the Marxists to think and comprehend what a Hillary/Kaine ticket would involve is too generous. With Bernie being out they really don't see Hillary as the hero of their cause. Bernie had a movement too and it's death will have a hard impact toward Hillary. They see her as someone who underhandedly stole their election. That's a bitter taste to swallow and most won't.

Many, if not all of the original colleges were church founded; so were the elite boarding schools that are still around today.
"Dame schools" ( what we would call early grammar grade schools )were run by women and were like private day schools. Many children were home schooled. When public schools became more the norm, the earliest readers were filled with Bible verses and stories that taught "moral" lessons.
Not only do I know what school was like when I was little, but I loved hearing about what school was like for my grandparents and my mother. Granted, I'm talking mostly about NYC schools, but what was true for NYC, was true for the entire state.
That truly WAS the gist of my original post, with which "someone", who shall now remain nameless, had a problem with. WHY? I do NOT know.
Some will vote for Trump/Pence; a lot will just stay home.
