And yet, Joseph Smith said his utopia would be in Far West(a defunct town) in Jackson County Missouri! That is a long way from Vermont!
Even the Mormon Church still teaches that it will be Jackson County, MO.

Mormons are heavily invested in defense, nuclear ordinance, long-term survival freeze dried food, among other industries.
