Jarrett Hill was sitting in a Los Angeles Starbucks scrolling through Twitter and answering Facebook messages while listening to Melania Trump's speech at the Republican National Convention on Monday night.
Something made him stop. It was the phrase "strength of your dreams."
"It kind of made me pause for a minute," Hill told The New York Times. "I remembered that line from Michelle Obama's speech."
Not bad for a guy chilling at a coffee shop.
Except, Hill is actually a trained journalist who not long ago was laid off from a broadcast job. According to his LinkedIn profile, his last on-air job was with Tampa station WFTS, on The Now Tampa Bay for nine months between 2014-15.

Like 30 seconds of platitudes, 97% not.
Oh it was lifted....just not sure that Melania did it herself. WHAT is rickrolled?
Rickrolling is pretty famous. Easier to tell you just to search the meaning
Your going to tell the world that no one told you those 3 things when you were growing up? If so you missed out on a lot and remind me not to let you borrowing anything without a notarized contract.
— It is still possible that he did -—
do What?
Here’s a conspiracy theory for you :)
Why did the passage ‘sounded familiar to’ the “unemployed journalist” who zoned in on this in the first place? According to Katy Waldman at Slate, ‘word is bond’ has now been claimed as a ‘black’-only phrase - and so, spoken by Melania, is viewed as racist “in the signature American way of a white woman who takes from a black woman.”
And that, more than anything else, may be the why of all the manufactured hoopla.
Why do refuse to admit those 23 words structured in that order were lifted from obama even after speechwriter admitted and apologized that she had been read the speech and took notes. You cant find anyone at anytime on the net that has used that 23 word structure...can you
A complete set up.
It should never have been doubted that members of the Trump campaign will have been paid off by Soros.
Mr Trump has admitted in the past he has been too trusting to staff, unfortunately the stakes are too high for any sentiment here.
AKA hard-core unemployed BA Jourolistism...
Your barking up the wrong tree. Where did Mooch get those 23 words.
A Freeper found this right away....very strange how this all happened. According to the NY Times Melania didnt use the speech written by 2 speech writers and instead used what was written by a ballerina who has a degree in English lit...or something. Yikes! And then Melania lied about it, saying that she wrote the speech. Which is the real problem here.
It has all been explained. Give it a rest!

Yeah...and too bad about the speech because I think Melania did a great job. One little flub bringing a ton of flak.
If only the media cared half as much about Hillary the traitor for cash.
I can imagine all the "in-depth" detail he's fleshed in about her crimes...
There wasn't any Wookie in Melania's speech...
To be fair, Michelle speaks almost as many languages as Melania Trump:
Ebonics, Wookie, Obama, MouthBreather, ChargeItToTheTaxpeasants, and a distant last, a rough form of American English.
I expect James Comey to recommend an indictment any day now...

Want to buy a vowel? :)
You’re right - still much ado about nothing but those who need the satisfaction are entitled to it. Class act by Trump to not accept the gal’s resignation.
