I totally agree. We’re letting the left hijack our great night. Last night was nothing short of spectacular. The speeches were amazing.
You’re right, Marcus Luttrell and Pat Smith were very moving. Rudy was incredible. Sheriff Clark was masterful. Everyone did a great job. It’s no wonder the dims are in full stop panic mode today. They should be.
I certainly don’t care to be screeched at by the party whose standard bearer is an unindicted felon.
Let Trump handle the miscreant on the inside. Let’s focus on what matters.

Just like Melanea’s parents, my parents actually did tell me the way to get ahead was to work hard, be dependable and keep my word. Unlike Mooches parents who told her to take whatever she could from the government and white people and most likely to just let a white guy write her first lady speech. She probably came up with the one statement that seemed genuine in her speech. She said it was the first time she had ever felt proud to be an American. I think that was hers. This is one of the most ridiculous kerfuffles I have ever heard. These idiots think you need a never-Trumper to write something like that? These people are a full of themselves. As you say this is just common American wisdom.

Exactly. It isn’t the plagiarism in itself that is the problem. The question is who did it (almost certainly Cruz’ ex-aides cum Trump speech writers), and what to do about Cruz’ Thursday night upcoming speech. That is a tactical question that Trump’s team better be considering seriously.
There are only so many words in use today. They have all been used in the past. Some more than once. Get over it!!!

Here is my point to you.
I gave you EXACT words from two different speeches. If you can’t find someone else in the world who has that EXACT phrasing over many many years..it should clue you in that the sentence was lifted. It is not common. If it was common you would find that EXACT phrasing from someone else.
It’s possible Michelle’s writers lifted it from someone else....but who else has said it but Michelle and Melania IN THAT EXACT WAY?
OK..so the speech writer lifted it..so..would have been better had he taken the quote from a REPUBLICAN instead of a Democrat but..22 seconds out of a 45 minute speech..unless the entire speech was lifted from somewhere really..who cares..BOTH speeches dont make a difference in my life I have more important things to worry about..like Jihadists killing us and the fact that our economy is in the toilet

In the case of Melania's speech, none of the blame or damage accrues to Melania. It only accrues to her speechwriter who will be assumed to be a "#neverTrump"-er or a Cruznut.
As I said the speech was flawless - America - American Pride - American Values. You and I know that is not what is being reported today. Instead snippets that had little bearing on the overall speech are being played over and over again. It wont sway my vote. I’m not voting for 1st lady. But how will this play out with the average low info voter? And how much has it taken the attention off of the other outstanding speakers. As mentioned earlier, Sen. Sessions speech has not been mentioned at all. What about Rudy or Mrs Smith.

Another odd thing, to me, is that Mooch’s similar paragraph wasn’t even in her original transcript. She went rogue...lol...and ad-libbed that paragraph, in her 2008 DNC speech.
Her main theme, in her transcript, is all about the ‘struggle’. Something Melania would not talk about, or be down with ;-)

They simply deny reality whenever it suits them, but hey look, they suddenly become interested in it when it suits them to recognize some plagiarized passages in a speech.
Then they distort that out of all proportion, and pretend like they’ve been the guardians of truth and moral conduct all along.
The truth here is that it seems like a little minor plagiarism did happen, but recognizing that reality shouldn’t bog down our side. We have to keep in mind the giant-scale denying of reality that the left is engaging in all the time.
