LOL I know the feeling. Been able to get the site on a state gov computer. Was looking yesterday morning and clicked to go to the next page and *blam!* blocked.
Oh well....always the phone.
I’m sure there were dozens of reporters just chomping at the bit to find similarities and “scandal”, so they probably had Moose’s old speech in their grubby hands - I bet a nickel they ran it through plagiarism software, which is what Melania’s staff should have done to avoid any criticism.
Still, ANY prospective First Lady (oh, except maybe Bill Clinton) is going to be talking about the same common themes such as women and children so it’s not surprising to me that some of it sounds similar - maybe the campaign should release a statement to that effect, then ignore further “digs” about it - the press will try to turn this into a huge “What papers do you read?” moment ala Sarah Palin!
And that was just to introduce his wife! What’s he gonna do when the accepts the nomination??
I watched last night thru the link posted on FR and avoided the butt in talk. Also googled RNC Convention 2016 and got a link. I don’t need the pundits to tell me what to think which is why I’m avoiding online articles posted today even by Drudge there’s negative spin to them.
[Im avoiding online articles posted today even by Drudge theres negative spin to them.]
The LIVE FR Convention Site was positive last night except for two pesky posters. I hope they opt out tonight.

One has been banned; the other appears to be clueless.
My hope for Cruz is that he gets the same treatment that Palin did when she spoke at the conservative dinner in Wisconsin. Everyone start walking around. Pull out your phone to look at and text. Talk amongst yourselves. The louder the better. To bad there wont be any food served, so they cant clink their silverware. Oh, and turn down the mics so nobody can hear a damn word he is saying.
That is my hope for Cruz’s speech.
[That is my hope for Cruzs speech.]
Every dog has his day. CRUZ’S day has come and gone. It’s time for him to sit on the porch and let the Big dogs run.
Do we know when Trump is going to be confirmed as the nominee or has he already? Little confused on how this works. Thanks.
Morning Meg.
Watched Marcus Lutrell and Gov Perry on F &F. What a moving story. Mrs Perry IS a nurse so they did just move him in and care for him.
Americans are so good!
Dogs don’t sleep past sunrise, fixing to get second cup of coffee and a peanut butter sandwich. Not my favorite breakfast, but one I can digest and won’t run up my blood sugar to bad.
Trying not to listen to the local morning news updates on killings and shootings coming from the kitchen where hubby eats his high carb breakfast.
AMEN!
I wish I had seen it...I am avoiding the media this morning to avoid the sniping at Melania.
Maybe I can find a video of it.
I think he’s nominated tonight, then there’s the roll call voting.
The paragraph is very similar. No doubt a basic theme among 1st ladies. That being said, as one poster said to me, “coincidence? Many who didn’t see the Melania speech now want to see it?” By tonight it will be yesterdays news.
Brilliant! Trump/Pence controls the news cycle!
[I think hes nominated tonight]
Rumor has it CRUZ’S name is going to be brought up too.
I agree with you. The networks are so annoying with the pundits inserting themselves. But they do that because We the People are so stupid that we need interpretation of the speeches.
We are DVRing C-SPAN coverage.
Melania will be the most unifying first lady of all time. Already, as we speak, there are millions of European girls talking about her. IT’s the Cinderella story. Look how she handles herself. Look at the confidence and poise and grace. You look at her, hear her cute voice and the endorphins flow.
Jackie Kennedy was the same way.
Awesome!!
CUOMO: Who takes the fall for cribbing Michelle Obama’s speech in 2008? Whose fault is that?
MANAFORT: Well, there’s no cribbing of Michelle Obama’s speech. These were common words and values that she cares about her family, that uh, that things like that. I mean, she was speaking in front of 35 million people last night - she knew that. I mean, to think that she would be cribbing Michelle Obama’s words is crazy. I mean it’s so, I mean once again, an example of a when a woman threatens Hillary Clinton how she seeks out to demean her and take her down. It’s not going to work.
