And could that be because they listened to your Dad, Senator ?
Apparently a lot of bible Belt evangelicals felt his pitch was over the line, for a political candidate in the US in 2016.
Add that to Cruz’ hand picked spiritual sideman, Glenn Beck and I think it completes the demonstration of weak judgment from the Senator that read Dr. Seuss, to prove how clever he was.
If he is not careful, he will look really puny.

Trump has given him a rope with which he can hang himself, if he so chooses. I don’t see any downside to letting him speak. He can either be a gracious looser and wholeheartedly endorse the winner, or bury himself forever. It’s going to be interesting to see which path he chooses!
I’ll never, ever, consider voting for him again.
He should stay in Texas, if they’ll still have him.

Donald Trump has been one of the most profusely reported-on private citizens for, oh, the last thirty years or so, in every part of the news with the possible exception of weather. And by no means always favorably. If you weren’t able to take that history and yours and make the case that you were a better candidate, such that you were able to beat him, that’s not his fault, nor the press’, nor Trump voters. That’s on you.
