Passed over for the job of joining the Republican presidential ticket as Donald Trump’s running mate, Newt Gingrich showed Monday that his willingness to serve as an attack dog has not diminished. In a pair of morning show interviews Monday on ABC and MSNBC, respectively, the former House speaker showed no hesitation in sharing his opinions on, among other topics, President Barack Obama, race in America, the Bush family and Trump’s campaign.
Gingrich dismissed the notion that the lack of prominent Republicans at this week’s national convention in Cleveland represented some larger trouble within the GOP. He attacked 2012 Republican nominee Mitt Romney, a vocal opponent of Trump’s, as a bandwagon jumper whose support for the party “lasted as long as we were supporting him.” The former speaker had even stronger words for the Bush family, none of whom will be in Cleveland this week.

I wish they'd get Mayor Jackson up there to greet the convention. He has shown a lot of class and welcoming spirit, it would put Kasick in his place, and who knows? It would probably help get some votes away from hillary.

I wished that I shared your optimism. But if Cruz tries to attack Trump there, it will be his end as a politician. I think even the brain-dead Texans (well not all of them) will change their minds about him if he goes off the reservation. Personally, I’d like to see him booed off the stage at the convention if he pulls anything untoward, but then I’d like to see him booed anywhere he shows up! He’s a worthless pr*ck!

The scene of George W. Bush dancing and Laura laughing at the memorial to the Dallas officers infuriates me. It came second to B. Obama’s insulting comments.

Yeah, they picked up their toys and went home but they keep taunting us from the window their house. I had a friend I grew up with that did that to me when I have a six. Having a hot I went inside and kicked the crap out of him in his living room. Needless to say his parents didn’t let me play with him for a couple years when they could prevent it.
It was a small town so they got over it. Needless to say that is something I never would do again as I got older. Very satisfying though. The memory ranks up there with when I thought myself to ride a bike.
