Prior to announcing Gov. Mike Pence as his running mate, presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump had narrowed the VP field down to the Indiana governor, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, and Gov. Chris Christie.
While Gingrich seems to have been a good sport about Trumps ultimate decision to go with Pence, according to the Weekly Standard, Christie was livid.
While minding my own business at the Starbucks inside the Westin hotel this morning, I saw a man engage Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort in conversation about the VP selection process. The man, whom I couldn't identify, suggested that Pence was a smart pick and Gingrich would've been a disaster.
"Christie was livid, right?" the man said at one point. "Yeah," Manafort replied.
In an interview with MSNBC on Thursday, Christie did say he would be upset if he didnt end up getting picked.
"I mean, obviously, I'm a competitive person. So I'm not going to say it won't bother me, if I'm not selected. Of course it bothers you a little bit. 'Cause if you're a competitive person, like I am, and you're used to winning, like I am — again, you don't like coming in second, ever," the governor told Nicolle Wallace.
Townhall didn'r say anything, you ignoramus.
(These are the simple definitions) according to Merriam Webster dictionary online.
Right on.
sigh. I guess I need the < /sarcasm > tag every time
looks like you read the article unlike some others
forget it.
Pure BS. The Weakly Substandard is worse than a direct lie.
This thread is based on a TownHall article. Try to pay attention.
Fool.
LMAO That is funny.
No lets make that huge fool!!!
So what? Do you know the difference between an author of an article, and the publisher of an article? You cement-brained ignoramus
According to the *Weekly Standard*? Thanks, but I find the Weekly World News more reliable.
So, does that negate my statement? No. Because, despite her baggage, hillary will have the lamestream media, Hollywood, the universities, the unions, the ethnic industries, the women's grievance harpies, the divider in chief and the Christian left -- all carrying her baggage for her -- gladly, meanwhile holding their noses; because in many of her bags are all kinds are putrefying garbage that smells to high heaven.
Trump will have none of that kind of sycophancy in his favor; instead, he is a populist. But he knows how to hit back. And that is why I think Trump needs a baggage free running mate. He has to fight against all those forces that hillary will have at her back.
Let's make America great again!!!
It doesn’t negate your statement. I was supporting your statement about the relevancy of so-called baggage being the determinate factor.
The media is always prepared to bring up baggage for anyone on the right, while ignoring the huge pile of baggage on the Left’s candidates, Hillary being the perfect example.
You are the one who stuck your foot in your mouth
Yes lets make America great again
Well-said. Thanks for clarifying.
10$ gift card from Dunkin Doughnuts should settle his fat ass down.....
I dislike Christy very much. My opinion.
Christie said exactly what I would expect any intelligent and competitive person to say including me. He said nothing wrong. I’ve gotten pissed when I didn’t want a contract and was not chosen anyway! Heck, competitive people think that way and I WANT a competitive person as a leader.
