During a time when the Republican Partys presumptive nominee, Donald Trump, should be working to bring the party together and prepare for the primary battle against Hillary Clinton, he continues to deepen the divide between Republicans and Americans alike.
Trumps recent attack on U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel because of his Mexican-American background prompted Sen. Lindsey Graham to round up the Republicans who have previously endorsed Donald Trump, and persuade them to take it all back.
Graham claimed that Trumps racist remarks were the most un-American thing from a politician since Joe McCarthy.
If anybody was looking for an off-ramp, this is probably it, Graham told The New York Times.
Senator Graham elaborated on this during an interview with NBC News Hallie Jackson.
There are a lot of people who want to be loyal to the Republican Party, including me, he said. But therell come a point in time where were gonna have to understand that its not just about the 2016 race, its about the future of the party and I would like to support our nominee. I just cant.
Donald Trump claimed that Judge Gonzalo Curiel, who is presiding over the Trump University case, has been biased toward him because of his Latino heritage.
I couldnt disagree more with a statement like that, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said Sunday.
Those kinds of comments are very serious to me, Rep. Susan Collins (R-Maine) said to News radio WGAN. They are completely unacceptable, and what they indicate which is why I think this is so serious is a lack of respect for our judicial system and for the separation of powers doctrine that is enshrined in the Constitution.
Although many Republicans, including House Speaker Paul Ryan, have condemned Trumps accusations, they continue to support him.
I have seen this coming for a long time. Most of these folks belong to a party out of necessity to keep their power. In the long run they are no difference in either party they look out for self and they lean the way the wind blows. In my opinion the DC crowd is just the way it is portrayed on The House of Cards.
Linda has been a light-in-the-loafer Democrat for years!
Too bad he doesn’t get this throat cut by ISIS.
How would we know if he changed unless he had a big “look-at-me” press conference?
Nice distraction but will try (despite Graham’s antics) to keep my eyes on the bigger goal of defeating Hillary.
Just noticed, this article is from JUNE 8th...
I assume that means he’ll resign from the Senate and run again as a Democrat - so that the people there are properly representated.
He basically votes like one so who would notice?
>>How would it be any different if he did?
The SC GOP might stop protecting him. Grahamnesty has no chance of re-election in SC running on a Dhimmi ticket.
Linda, here's your exit.
Well...bye
Be a man and live up to it.
Why wait, Linda?
How will we know when Light Loafers Lindsay has formalized his status as a Demonrat. Note also that Lindsay, like most brain dead leftists, does not care for Fighting Joe McCarthy who, with the release of soviet archives has been proven correct.
I doubt it would be much of a conversion.
Lindsey converted years ago - just didn’t change his/her name yet.
Convert? Is the Democrat Party a religious cult?
JUST DO IT, Linda!!
She was hoping Mitt was going to enter the race and save the day...bwahhhh!!!
We’ve got a country to take back, so get the F...k out of the way Lindsay. Bu bye.
When will SC get rid of this effeminate pretend Baptist BS Artist?
