During a time when the Republican Partys presumptive nominee, Donald Trump, should be working to bring the party together and prepare for the primary battle against Hillary Clinton, he continues to deepen the divide between Republicans and Americans alike.
Trumps recent attack on U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel because of his Mexican-American background prompted Sen. Lindsey Graham to round up the Republicans who have previously endorsed Donald Trump, and persuade them to take it all back.
Graham claimed that Trumps racist remarks were the most un-American thing from a politician since Joe McCarthy.
If anybody was looking for an off-ramp, this is probably it, Graham told The New York Times.
Senator Graham elaborated on this during an interview with NBC News Hallie Jackson.
There are a lot of people who want to be loyal to the Republican Party, including me, he said. But therell come a point in time where were gonna have to understand that its not just about the 2016 race, its about the future of the party and I would like to support our nominee. I just cant.
Donald Trump claimed that Judge Gonzalo Curiel, who is presiding over the Trump University case, has been biased toward him because of his Latino heritage.
I couldnt disagree more with a statement like that, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said Sunday.
Those kinds of comments are very serious to me, Rep. Susan Collins (R-Maine) said to News radio WGAN. They are completely unacceptable, and what they indicate which is why I think this is so serious is a lack of respect for our judicial system and for the separation of powers doctrine that is enshrined in the Constitution.
Although many Republicans, including House Speaker Paul Ryan, have condemned Trumps accusations, they continue to support him.
What took her so long?
How would it be any different if he did?
Good, just go already!
Leslie’s a republican,, who knew........
Hope he tacks McCain with him. Bye Lindsey!
I thought she already was a Democrat.
*takes
HAHAHAHAHAHAAH!!! He’s ALWAYS been a DEMOCRAT!!
K. Bye.
This is over a month old.
The hits just keep on coming. All the RINOs who swore for the last 20 years that the world would stop if we didn’t support the candidate are now threatening to bolt the party if we do.
What will we do without them?
(softball question, have at it)
GO!!! You vapid oriface......GO!
Don’t let the door, hit you....... Yatta Yatta Yatta
Senator Linda, most of us are more worried about the survival of the nation. Go join with your democratic buddies because that is where your prissy heart has always been. And next election, South Carolinian voters can retire your sorry ass.
He might as well make it official...
I wish he would.
Trump is becoming a one-man version of the GOP’s own bug-zapper thread...
Misleading headline. He didn’t say anything about becoming a democrat.
PS: Take McNuts with you!
