Umm. Since grazing animals now have few natural predators how does the author believe that we manage the herds?
Overpopulation for deer for example would result in a massive die off and serious damage to the ecosphere.
Afaik, the game wardens do not walk aimlessly around the forest. They are estimating the various wildlife populations and issuing the requisite amount of tags to keep everything in balance.

Years ago I read an article by one of these idiots. SHE said that if SHE was driving down the street, a child and a dog suddenly darts in front of her, and SHE had to hit one to save the other, she said SHE would hit the CHILD.
Her reasoning was, if she hit the child there would be immediate responses and calls to hospitals and ambulances dispatched, whereas the poor dog would just lay there and die.

Actually, the people who need guns the most are non-whites (disproportionately live in high crime areas) and females (far less muscle mass and thus at a severe disadvantage in unarmed combat). Guns are an equalizer, tools that eliminate "supremacy" and make people equal regardless of age, sex, or skin color. An armed society is a polite society (Heinlein), and I hope to see America and the world as a whole become much more polite.
