The new Hampton University poll is good news for Trump.
As with most recent polls, Trump has either closed the gap with Hillary or taken the lead.
Hillary continues to sink, while the Trump/Pence ticket are surging!

Exactly.
Her only realistic shot is to go completely media silent post convention and let voter fraud do the rest.
No debates, no press.
The convention will drop her another 5% alone.
Her VP will be a racial identity pick, most likely the faggot HUD head Castro.
I’ve also heard his Spanish speaking abilities are not great.
He is an active communist.
I have thought all along he will be her pick. Hispanics are not as monolithic as blacks. She will lose with the neophyte Castro.
I have been a Trump man from day one and have consistently predicted he will win in a landslide. Now it will be a nail biter and the shame is it didn't have to be this way.
No way in heck does evil Shrillary look like that photoshopped picture in the graphic.
Are you “concerned?”
We’ll see. Pew Research also found Hillary underperforming among Hispanics (58% vs. Obama’s 70%). The theory is that the Hispanic macho culture prevents many of them from voting for a woman. She also did poorly with Hispanics during the primaries.
You are a political junkie like me. I get it. But you are way over analyzing. 99% of the electorate cares not a whit about the Veep pick.
Now, Mark....central va is claiming, in above post #84, that he/she’s always been a Trump supporter.
Bwahahaha.
I think that undecideds are good news for Trump. They are his to lose. As long as Trump doesn't scare them off, they should be in his corner by November. Hillary is the known commodity and the undecideds don't want her unless they are convinced that Trump is worse. Only then will the undecideds vote for Hillary.
“It is pretty easy to see Pence going along with the globalist Free Trade crowd”
Pence is not going anywhere. His job is to increase Trump’s support among republicans from the current 80% to over 90%.
This, coupled with Trump’s double digit lead among independents in every poll, will give Trump a structural lead over Hillary.
Yep, and there is nothing Clinton can do about it. It is between Pence and Republicans. Perhaps Pence was Trump's first choice after he met with Cruz. It makes sense.
Obama killed coal but the coal county voters did not turn out. For Trump to win on those issues he needs big time rural and exurb turnout. There are tons of decent people out there who simply don't vote.
So they are essentially tied at 39% each. Abysmal numbers for two candidates with 100% name ID. Hillary is losing support. If Trump was not allowing their war machine to run tens of millions of dollars in ads unresponded to for months on end, Hillary would be at 31% in this poll and Trump would probably be at 45% and climbing. Trump needs to run positive ads featuring his family to improve his own positive rating to surpass Hillary’s own abysmal favorability rating...if that happens, she’s toast.
It’ll be a nail biter because of...Pence?
I don’t think that’s necessarily always the case...for example I think Cheney and Palin had more of an impact than that...Cheney for his crushing debate performances and Palin for her convention speech.
But this year, your number is probably correct. It’s two very big personalities at the top of each ticket and their VP picks will be nonfactors.
I think VA will be close. Lots of yahoos in Northern VA that the rest of the state will have to offset.
It’s all going to boil down to turnout.
Ground truth: I was knocking on doors this morning. We target only who we think are soft. Soft ‘rat, soft gop, undecided. It was really, really interesting.
I think things are clicking. I can’t put my finger on it. Maybe it was the overwhelming sense I got that people were glad to see me. Shook my hand several times. Very odd. Like seeing people hugging the meter reader.
And nobody really gives a rats ass about the VP. One person mentioned him, someone who wasn’t going to vote gop on a bet anyway.
VP choice is a nothing burger.
I don’t know what it is, but I sense a shift. We’ll see if I get that next time.
