Zbigniew Brzezinski: If Ukraine does not fall apart, then Putin will be forced to find another way out

Well-known American political scientist Zbigniew Brzezinski gave an interview with German weekly "Der Spiegel", which is very lucidly explained the Germans that NATO will fight if Russia would attack the Baltics, and why the West is obliged to defend Ukraine. Brzezinski's interview is the perfect backdrop scandalous talk the same "Der Spiegel" with Sergei Karaganov and shows that the "hawkish positions" and worse in the West and in Russia.

SPIEGEL: Mr. Brzezinski, do not you think that the beginning of a new Cold War between the West and Russia?

Brzezinski: So it has long begun. Fortunately, as earlier version of what would happen real "hot" war is unlikely.

SPIEGEL: The last time the Cold War lasted 40 years - this time we expect about the same?

Brzezinski: I do not think. Many factors are at this time very different. If Ukraine can not fall apart from the inside in the near future - the leader in Russia will be forced to look for other approaches. I really hope that he is smart enough to act in accordance with the situation - better late than never.

SPIEGEL: And he's so smart?

Brzezinski: It is difficult to accurately answer your question. In any case, I can say that it is internally cunning, has a sixth sense, he can feel the difference. From the last of his actions, I was saying, I can not understand one thing - donate 40 million? People who would never have become the enemies of Russia under other circumstances. It is a risky move.

SPIEGEL: Is this right for NATO to throw heavy weapons in eastern Europe and the Baltic Sea?

Brzezinski: I do not understand. Counter-question - Do you think it is right to shift troops to the territory of an independent state after a large part of the state was able to grab for themselves?

SPIEGEL: You mean the fact that Putin made in Ukraine?

Brzezinski: Remember - you should always consider the situation from both sides. I am against war, but you must understand that every action must have a reaction. Furthermore! If this rule is violated - the chances that there will be war, significantly increasing.

SPIEGEL: Yes, but do not like the West's actions provoked Russian propaganda?

Brzezinski: I still do not understand you. We have no right to transfer troops in an apparent friendly and willing to this country, who are full members of our unit, and for which the time has come when there is a real threat?

SPIEGEL: Yes, but then the question is whether it plays into the hands of Putin and his propaganda?

Brzezinski: The same argument was used in a situation with Hitler. In a situation with his invasion of the Sudetenland and Austria. Remind me how it ended?

SPIEGEL: You compare Hitler and Putin?

Brzezinski: There are similarities and differences. In particular, Hitler never wanted to get rich personally. Putin another. A particularly dangerous by the fact that Putin is by nature a gambler.

SPIEGEL: Well, let's say, Putin will attack on the Baltic Sea. NATO is at war?

Brzezinski: What a strange question. By itself. To this end, NATO, in fact, created. If we all tell you that with us, you can do what you want, the good certainly will not.

SPIEGEL: According to a survey in Germany, the majority of Germans against German participation in military action in the case of aggravation of the situation in the Baltic Sea.

Brzezinski: How many percent of Germans would like to see the United States helped to Germany if Germany attacked?

SPIEGEL: Well, it goes without a majority.

Brzezinski: Well, as I am about the same. In general, look for Lithuania - a small country declares that they will defend all its features. Dot. It should be a shame to you, the Germans. Though in fact I am sure that the Germans "in the case of the case" changed his mind and will still be fighting.

SPIEGEL: In the past, we have learned that the NSA (National Security Agency) told us to put it mildly, not the whole truth. What do you think?

Brzezinski: I, as a former head of the organization, do not feel right to talk about it in detail, I'm sorry.

“Well-known American political scientist Zbigniew Brzezinski”

I wouild take issue with that characterization! He was part of the Cahatah Administration, and we all know just how successful it was.

When asked simple questions he talks in circles and parables. That way he does not answer the question. He is not a good man, and he is not a patriot of our nation.

Brezinski has said that America is too democratic and obviously has elitist (oligarchal) leanings. He and David Rockefeller founded the Trilateral Commission.

What I really want to know is why his daughter seems to prefer Trump over Hillary? This guy is also very condescending, every interview I've heard him in he has one or two sentences that seem to ridicule the interviewer.

"The Trilateral Commission is intended to be the vehicle for multinational consolidation of the commercial and banking interests by seizing control of the political government of the United States. The Trilateral Commission represents a skillful, coordinated effort to seize control and consolidate the four centers of power political, monetary, intellectual and ecclesiastical. What the Trilateral Commission intends is to create a worldwide economic power superior to the political governments of the nationstates involved. As managers and creators of the system, they will rule the future."

U.S. Senator Barry Goldwater in his l979 book: With No Apologies.

Well, that was certainly illuminating.

A pity because it would be interesting to know what the two leftists are thinking and just how far left Germany has lurched.

I feel the exact same way about Noam Chomsky (a famous leftist) and Henry Kissinger - even if you listen to them for an hour, you can't find anything firm.

its why Putin is succeeding in eating Obama's lunch, even though he works from a much weaker position. He has a very clear decision tree and his advisors probably learned to answer his questions with "yes" or "No."

Yeah, that Spiegel reporter made Brzezinski look like a right-wing lunatic. And the part about “playing into the hands of Russian propaganda” was hilarious, when the “reporter” came straight out of the gate with it.

What an old feeble idiot. Like he’s still in the loop. A nasty piece of work. Can’t save so much as an inch of the Ukraine and it’s clearly eating him up...

We have an “obligation” to fight for Ukraine?

No thank you. Perhaps if we were not pushing up against all of Russia’s borders, they wouldn’t be so irritated.
