Following the failed Turkish coup, U.S. military operations out of Turkey’s giant Incirlik Air Base - critical in the ongoing campaign against ISIS - came to a halt Saturday afternoon as the Turkish military closed the airspace around the base and suspended all US-led operations, mostly targeting the Islamic State.

Absolutely !
I still haven't been able to wash off the stench of the last two presidential votes.

(tho it's some tiny comfort that my vote in '08 was for Sarah, with a side order of McCain's imminent mortality)

Not an immediate surprise but if it lasts more than 24 hours, then a big deal. Cutting power to the base notable? Not having base-sustainable power, if that is true, is a big deal. That would be as scandalous as lining up planes and ships in Hawaii just prior to their destruction by the Japanese in 1941.

Are Erdogan's claims that the cleric behind it is in exile in Pennsylvania true?

Forgive me if my first reaction is that this ranks right up there with the video causing Benghazi.

They don’t want us getting involved in the coup.

Probably don’t want any US persons getting hurt either.

The only hope to stop ISIS is Putin taking out the oil convoys going into Turkey. Trump has mentioned it numerous times. We’ve got to stop ISIS’s ability to sell their oil.

Pray that Trump gets in.

Unknown for sure that they are there. The base does have the means and facilities to secure them. No one is going to walk in and take them.

“protected with Permissive Action Link”

I understand that if the bomb is made inactive by use of the Permissive Action Link it simply fries the electronics to prevent detonation.

I could still be used to make dirty nuke bombs.

In fact, Turkey is our enemy, they help ISIS — and NATO has no importance in the 21st century (Putin isn’t going to invade France).

Since we trained and armed and built ISIS with the intention of deposing Assad and to push the Kurds out of Syria and Turkey, doesn't that make us even more of our own enemy than Turkey is?

As for NATO, the only ones who really don't belong in it anymore are the United States and Canada. Once the politics of Europe started driving NATO, we should have packed up our toys and left. Instead, we're giving tens of billions of dollars to subsidize Europe, including Germany who can well afford to pay their own bills.

So honestly, I couldn't care less if Turkey stays in NATO, I'd much rather hit the exit button for us.

Turkey is House of Togarmah. House of Togarmah joins Put / Phut (Libya) and Persia (Iran) in attacking Israel, trying to wipe them off the face of the Earth - coming like a storm in Ezekiel 38. This one will fail though the Great Tribulation will be quite horrific.

This war is the Latter Years (Ezek 38:8) and Latter Days (Ezek 38:16). King James Version.
