If the intent of a military coup is to return Turkey to a more secular government as established by Ataturk, then this should be a positive development.
Of course, Erdogan has been staging a slow moving coup against the secular government since he assumed office, moving Turkey toward a strict Islamic government.
What this means for the trickle-down Islamization of Europe is another matter. I think Europe is/would be insane to allow Turkey full membership under any circumstance. But there are plenty of Euros ready to extend full EU membership and allow every Turk free movement around the EU.
She and Obama will both be very unhappy with anything that slows the spread of Islamic governments and influence.
That will be come November 9, 2016.
