Only the pro-gay “evangelicals,” as they rolled him on the religious freedom act Gov. Pence signed, then immediately recinded!

No, McCain lost it by himself.

I can’t imagine Trump wanting his personal announcement of his VP choice to be preceded by news from a rumor. This could just be misinformation released from the Trump campaign.

When did Trump make the announcement and why didn’t the TV news networks cover the announcement?

They put two and two together. Pence is not on the list of speakers for the convention while Gingrich and Christie are. The announcement is scheduled for 11 AM tomorrow and Pence has a deadline of Noon to get his name removed from the November ballot for governor. It's pretty obvious.

“Trump might want a compliant veep so that he doesn’t end up in constant clashes with same.”

I agree. Somewhat similar to Reagan/Bush except that Pence is a real conservative.

Listened to BECK this AM by mistake, he said that the “takeover” was pretty much not going to happen, he would know.

LoL @ Beck. He gets the reports like us.

On this thread.

Poor choice

Hmmm, you say you know nothing about him but say he's a bad choice?

I live in IN too. It’s a great pick! Exactly what Trump needs. One issue does not make up the whole man. He’s smart and will work well under Trump in my opinion.

Rush is out today.

Trump was announcing tomorrow, not today.

What is up with that?

I suspect a little of not letting the media control him.

Trump has almost achieved the toughest objective, getting the GOP nomination. After that it’s time to snap into Presidential Mode so that the general public can begin actually envisioning him as their President.

Pence helps him I think in this regard.

There is an argument for Safe Mode now as he only needs to be seen as a viable alternative to Hillary. She is now taking on water, and I don’t think she’s a good enough politician to pull out of the tailspin.

Of course if the Dems draw that conclusion and kick her to the curb we’ll all have to recalculate.

Belling a fool? Why? (not arguing, just want your further opinion)

I think Belling is yawner. I would much rather listen to a arts and craft show on NPR than him.

“The media at its best...course maybe the ‘never trumps’ is at it again...you just never know until you hear it from Mr. Trump do you?....”

I agree, but it is looking like Pence.

I’m with you...

Trump has a propensity for surprise, and this isn’t it.

After reading all the posts on FR over the past few days, it’s totally impossible to make everyone happy.

Pence does no harm. I can think of zero times I voted for the GOP ticket because I liked the VP and I didn’t like the Presidential candidate. ZERO!

I agree. Pence is Mr. Steady. He also has some pull in the rust belt & that is where Trump is either going to win or lose this election.
