I agree. The upper mid-West/Alaska accent sounds very nasal and irritating. It shouldn’t make a difference but it does. She sounds like the mother on the old cartoon “Bobby’s World”

Her Convention speech was delivered intelligently and focused. She just need a speech writer and she could deliver a teleprompter speech better than most. Her undisciplined speech are mostly off the cuff and from notes she written herself

I would take Mrs. Palin’s voice any day over the dulcet babble of a Megin Kelly or maniacal bleat of Cookie Roberts or, God forbid, Hillary’s demonic decibels. Sarah sounds like so many other women who come out of the upper Midwest, who speak plainly, honestly, with logical content and without artifice.

public speaking is this single most important skill of a politician. In fact if it were not for this skill we would have never known Bill Clinton or Obama.

You need to spend some quality time listening to her latest speech because then you're going to really be embarrassed that you you're still repeating that hackneyed line about her voice. Chris Matthews was even in awe of how masterfully Palin used the inflection in her voice to make her points, and her delivery, you will notice once you had the chance to see it, was absolutely flawless.
