Social media erupted in fury after the Canadian quartet The Tenors changed the words to O Canada to make a political statement during the opening of Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game in San Diego Tuesday night.
Holding up a sign saying “All Lives Matter,” the group sang: “We are brothers, we are sisters, All lives matter to the brave,” when they should have been singing: “With glowing hearts we see thee rise, The True North strong and free.”
The words “United We Stand” were written on the back of the sign.
Although there was some applause during their performance, reaction afterwards was overwhelmingly negative, judging by comments posted on Twitter.
“How on earth did they think this was a good idea,” asked one tweet.

When we live in world of symbols. One of the tactics of the left is the appropriation of symbols.
The colors of the rainbow are now universally accepted as the symbol of homosexuality.
This word “gay” is unusable in normal conversation as it has been subjugated to an entirely new meaning.
A useful word such as “diversity” has acquired its own connotation to the point it can’t be used in its original context.
Looking at those examples, it isn’t hard to see how the phrase “all lives matter” provokes outrage as a proxy for the racism it represents in this context.
Especially when inserted into a national anthem, which is a symbol as well.

Umm - ya’ll are confused. This group just pissed on BLM. BLM hates the phrase “ALL live matter”.
