Donald Trump will showcase his vice presidential pick at a public event on Friday, multiple sources tell NBC News.
Trump's possible picks are thought to be narrowed to three candidates: Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
While the joint appearance is expected on Friday, it's not clear whether or not the identity of the pick could be released or could leak earlier in the week.
Trump is scheduled to attend a fundraiser and rally in Indiana Tuesday night with Pence; he campaigned with Christie on Monday and with Newt Gingrich last week.
He told the New York Times earlier Tuesday that he intended to make a decision "over the next three- to four-day period of time," adding that his "gut" would be an important factor in making the decision.

Gotcha, but I do not know the tail numbers.
Part of me says Newt, part of me says Pence.
I’m always warring with myself.
Newt, if picked, will have a bone to pick with the GOPeers and cronies who have corrupted the system. Newt may have made mistakes, but if fellow Republicans worked to exploit them, your good efforts will be stopped. He was betrayed by Republican conference chairman John Boehner of Ohio and Republican leadership chairman Bill Paxon of New York who worked to undermined him when he was Speaker.
Hopefully they are out of RIGHT field.
Pence has till noon on Friday to withdraw his name from the Indiana Governor Ballot. So he can be out on as VP. Sort of forces Trump to show his hand before the convention
A lifelong Democrat is what we need?
So many of us at FR have been predicting this, too. The FALSE NARRATIVE accompanying the videos of cop's shooting blacks such as 'Hands up don't shoot' and 'he was just sitting in the car' is MEDIA DECEPTION aimed at ANGERING BLACKS for the purpose of bringing mass civil unrest FOR REAL THIS TIME.
And anyone who thinks BLM didn't set those cops up with their BS "Peaceful protest" mantra ahead of the Dallas protest is smoking crack. From what I understand, THEY WEREN'T EVEN PLANNING ON DOING A MARCH THAT EVENING, SO HOW DID THE SHOOTER KNOW TO TAKE UP A POSITION IN THAT PARKING STRUCTURE???? BLM didn't even get approval or file a permit for the march.. THEIR MARCH WAS SUPPOSEDLY IMPROMPTU so how did the shooter PLAN FOR IT IN ADVANCE????
The media is FULL OF SH*T and hellbent on getting hundreds of thousands of cops and white citizens KILLED.
You might want to rethink that

Has Col. West changed his mind about Trump?
Putting my money on Newt, 100%.
Keep in mind that The Donald has pulled some pretty surprising rabbits out of his hat already, and he may have someone altogether different, someone who didn’t even register on the meter, but people will say, “Oh, man, how did he come up with that person?” The choice, which like so many announcements by The Donald, at first seems to be way out in left field, will be driven lining straight out for the bleachers.
Make no mistake, both Christie and Newt are very good bets to be in The Donald’s picks for his Cabinet, or close members like White House Chief of Staff, even if they are not selected for VP.
But for sure, the Establishment Republicans will have just about no say at all in The Donald’s choice for VP.
If the choice is those 3 I would say Newt.
Why—because Trump has already made a sellout choice?
I’ll still vote for Trump, of course, but I’ll be sorely disappointed and will think that victory is less likely for him and our country.
I have no idea how much he has bargained away with the GOPe to not have his nomination taken from him through party finagling, but such a sellout would also make real change through his administration far less likely. It would, rather, be something of a Ryan/McConnell takeover of the executive branch—whether or not Trump retained his “health” and continued to be the titular president.
I have been hoping he would choose Allen West for a while.
From our lips to His ears, because that would be a kicker !
I think (and hope) you are right. There is something about Pence that disturbs me. Sessions would be a courageous and fine pick.
