For Sean Hannity, the question of who would be best suited to join Donald Trump on the Republican ticket is clear-cut: It's Newt Gingrich. Appearing on Fox News Monday night, the former speaker of the House heard a cascade of effusive praise and reasoning as to why he would be best positioned to take on the role of Trump's No. 2. Hannity laid out what he saw as the most important questions for the presumptive nominee to consider as he weighed choices on his short list, which have been said to include the likes of Gingrich, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Gov. Mike Pence and retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn.
"Who would be best at prosecuting the case against Hillary in terms of the list that he has? Who would be best in terms of making the case and articulating the case for Donald Trump with a positive voice like you have? Who would be the person that would pretty much be assured a win in any presidential/vice presidential debate?" Hannity told Gingrich. "I think youve checked that corner. Who has balanced the budget and given us a surplus? Who has the ability to work with Congress? I check all the boxes, and you're right there at the top, and I think you'd be the right choice. What is your response to that?" Hannity made sure to remark that he was not offering up the recommendation "as a friend." "I'm speaking objectively here. I think you would prosecute the case against Hillary better than anybody, strategize and help them win, and help him govern, which, with a hostile speaker and majority leader, would be difficult," the Fox host continued, as Gingrich grinned. Such talk "is all very flattering," Gingrich said, calling Hannity's questions "a pretty good set of criteria."

Trump is going to have a fight to win as it is, but putting this turd in with him will clinch it for the commies. He needs someone solid conservative and strong, pro USA.
Pence can’t even stand up to the Gaystapo. Think he’ll stand up to the media as Trump’s VP ?
I personally don't trust any politician.
You can find half a dozen split-screen google images, mostly with Hannity and Gingrich smiling, so they must get on well.
Sean and Ted ...
not so much ...
Sean is a real fan who lives on a bubble. Newt detracts from the ticket and would be a detriment in defeating HRC. There too many voters who don’t particularly like Gingrich. He’s good at what he does, but there is a lot of water under that bridge. Chief of staff?
Well get one vote.(unless we are dead)
Tom Sellek in Quigly down under.... You got one bullet in that shooter, make the most of it.
I want Donald to continue to weigh in all the good advise and I don't want Newt to be anything other then behind the scenes making good decisions. That way he's contributing to the Countries good and NOT his own Good
I don't care who supported whom when. It is important that we coalesce around the candidate and vp that can knock out Hitlery NOW.
</s>
Sean is certainly right, given the alternatives of Pence or Christie. Yikes!
Please, please, please let it thus be Newt.
Sessions or Fallin or Newt would be fine with me.
Those are actually the only three I’ve heard in the mix that IMO make any sense in terms of firming up and getting out the base and being able to articulate a message, at the same time, that will bring in new Trump voters.
Pence is a solid married guy. Newt on the ticket with Donald who’s on his third marriage won’t get the religious conservatives as Pence will bring in.
“So you still support Zeros Ringer, Willard ?”
Absolutely not. Mitt has gone off the deep end as far as I am concerned. He is a total loser.
Yup.
I am with you 100%. All this negative noise about Newt, but nobody can convincingly argue who would be a better VP choice. If Gingrich is not qualified to be Vice President as someone that orchestrated a historic Republican takeover of Congress, then why tab him as Chief of Staff?
That does not tilt the scales against Trump. Multiple marriages by the VP are not going to keep religious conservatives from coming out against a criminal pro-choice candidate like HRC.
They mis-spelled “perfect”.
Riverdawg on Donald Trump’s VP Choice: “I would be happy with anyone but Newt Gingrich.”
This has the same impact as Hannity’s statement.
Well i am sure trump is running his campaign on what makes sean-sean happy.
Sean is #NeverTrump now?
